KeymasterDid you get an answer from Once Upon a Time‘s Sean Maguire about the rumor that he’s leaving? —MRiku
As promised in Ask Ausiello, I did ask Maguire about this at the 100th-episode party, and he was (alas) expectedly spoiler-free on his status — though he did acknowledge that dangerous times are ahead for Robin and the other heroes. “We’re going to the Underworld, so I don’t expect much good stuff is going to happen! But as to where it’s going to lead [for Robin], I can’t say,” he hedged. “There are obstacles everywhere — a lot of bad people from the past are coming back and they are not too happy with our heroes. If Once Upon a Time was the Star Wars franchise, this would be Empire Strikes Back. It’s going to get dark, it’s going to be scary, and there will be surprises.”Is Operation Light Swan still on when Once Upon a Time returns? –Allison
No, it appears Operation Light Swan has served its purpose, to be replaced by a new mission Henry dubs “Operation Firebird.”http://tvline.com/2016/02/23/once-upon-a-time-season-5-spoilers-robin-hood-staying-leaving/

KeymasterUm. Sean that’s not exactly the answer everyone wanted. I think he’s being coy but still…way to not help the fandom

ParticipantBut can I ask … Where does that rumor come from in the first place … ? Seems strange if he were to leave. Regina losing another love seems like an odd choice of storyline.

According to Sean’s agent (pretty sure it was his agent) Sean is finished filming before everyone else this year. Hence the rumors that this means Robin is gonna bite the bullet. It probably just means that Robin’s part is smaller than other characters in the finale which makes waaaay more sense.

Oh, ok, så that’s all it’s based on?
And you’re right it makes way more sense that he just may not be in the final scenes …

ParticipantI thought Sean was filming something else too after, so maybe they did a little filming out of order so he could be in the episode and still go film his other thing. That happens.
