I really doubt it’s the Princess and the Frog. That movie would have made a lot of sense tying into the upcoming arc but I think that’s one Disney movie they are just not going to touch.
As for Aladdin, I think that ship has sailed. They might get Naveen back (if they can pry him away from Sense8) but I’m not sure they’re going to touch the actual Aladdin and Jasmine.
Funnily enough, Adam has stated otherwise in an interview posted earlier today, in regards to adding Aladdin, Jasmine and the characters from the Princess and the Frog.
Who’s still on your wish list?
HOROWITZ Aladdin and Jasmine are characters we love. The Princess and the Frog is a movie we really enjoyed, and we think that there are wonderful characters in there.

I actually posted an entire thread for that article: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/topic/thr-33-creators-reveal-secrets/

And if S6 really is the last, I think they are willing to let Aladdin/Princess and the Frog go in order to wrap everything up.

Its like the most obvious thing they could have done. I don’t think they’d make the storytelling more complicated by having two other corrupted authors. Also, I wonder if that means that the grimm brothers were the authors before Disney (idk what time period they lived in or whatever) Hmm.
I think it’s possible to get a one episode thing going for those particular characters. But idk how Aladdin could work given that Jafar’s story had nothing to do with either of them, and that A&E said a long time ago that Sidney was not Aladdin’s genie (unless they kill two birds with one stone and make Jafar Aladdin’s genie… which is nice). Princess and the frog only really works in my head if Tamara really is the granddaughter of Tiana somehow, which I think they may have been going for. But it still has issues. Idk. I think they WILL do it. A&E won’t let this show go without playing with the remaining toys. But as far a season long arc I doubt it.

That’s assuming that Aladdin and Princess and the Frog would be the focus of the arcs they appear in. They might not be. For example, 5A was mainly about Camelot and the Dark Swan, but you also had Merida mixed in as a side story. 4B also incorporated Maleficent, Ursula and Cruella into one arc. There’s also the more old school guest star route, where they are only the focus of one or a small handful of episodes like Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, the Mad Hatter, Ariel, and Rapunzel.

Jafar being Aladdin’s genie as a twist is something I’ve theorized since the end of Wonderland, and I would be all for it. As for Princess and the Frog, I have a feeling we’ll get a Fictional New Orleans world (we have at least two Fictional Englands, after all). I can’t see them bringing back Tamara. That character has long since been forgotten about, and was pretty poorly received from the get go. I mean, look at how quickly they killed her off at the start of Season 3. Besides, Sonequa-Martin Green is still a series regular on The Walking Dead, so I doubt she’d be available.

Did you saw the Brothers Grimm movie? in that movie they were witch hunters, and since they want to bring dorothy this season was a witch hunter, so they can use that especially if they bring him as for example descendants of the original Brother grimm, so they always knew that magic existed. That would be a great last season, people wanting to destroy magic, or with all hunger power people, they want to destroy it, and then will be tempted by it.
As the other small characters, Aladin and jasmine, princess and the frog, they may do it like they did with Ariel and Rapunzel and like they will do with the Hercules and Meg a one episode thing.

I think a singing animals curse would be cool.

I agree here. They could absolutely make Aladdin work, even if it’s just for an episode or two like Meg and Hercules coming up. And like Matthew Paul said, they literally just said they wanted to do Aladdin and Jasmine and Princess and the Frog. So it’s not like they have no desire to incorporate it, or don’t have a plan. And usually when they say they would love to incorporate certain characters, they show up eventually. They always said they wanted to do Merida, Elsa and Anna, Cruella. And we eventually got all those characters. Them mentioning them in the latest interview is very telling I think and now since next season is confirmed, I’d be shocked if we didn’t see some of these characters before the show takes it’s final bow.

Marcus was for another episode, is part of this set, i would say Marcus is probably the Zeus one.

March 4, 2016 at 10:42 am #318029RumplesGirlKeymasterYes they can very easily work in Aladdin/Jasmine, Princess and the Frog characters into a one-off; but for these particular casting calls, it’s most likely not them.

This doesn’t jive, though. I mean, yes, having the Brothers Grimm during the Author plot would have made a tremendous amount of sense but its not like OUAT doesn’t re-tread already walked upon ground. They are constantly plagiarizing themselves, reusing old ideas or themes in new seasons. The Author Isaac dealt with the book and answered those questions. But, for me, the big question of how our stories are so different from what the Onceiverse has shown is still a big question and one that A and E keep saying they do want to answer…so I do think it’s the Brothers Grimm and we’re going to learn how the stories of the EF, NVL, ect ended up in our world. That’s really the final big mystery to conclude the entire series.
