WHAT THE… HECK IS HADES’ DEAL? | As Once-upon-a-time-hadessuggested by his swift action against Cora, Hades (played by Ally McBeal‘s Greg Germann) “is a control freak, a manipulator — and he’s deliciously evil, too,” purrs Lana Parrilla. “He’s very powerful, so it becomes a question of, ‘How are we going to take this guy down?’” Adds Josh Dallas, “Oh man, Hades is bad news, and the gang has to figure out how to topple this guy somehow. He definitely wants control, let’s just say that.” As for Hades’ end game with regards to Emma, Regina et al, “Like most of the characters in the show, he has a very specific agenda. He has a very specific goal,” says series co-creator Eddy Kitsis. So, is it to have the Storybrooke heroes leave ASAP… or to never, ever leave? “Both,” hints Kitsis.

As for Hades’ end game with regards to Emma, Regina et al, “Like most of the characters in the show, he has a very specific agenda. He has a very specific goal,” says series co-creator Eddy Kitsis.

Hades’ specific goal might be to rule not just the UW, but the entire world. Recall in the animated version of Hercules how much Hades wanted to unleash the titans so he could dethrone Zeus to become head god of Mount Olympus.

So, is it to have the Storybrooke heroes leave ASAP… or to never, ever leave? “Both,” hints Kitsis.

Eddy’s reply could have something to do with the tombstones with everyone’s names on them. Does anyone think that Hades’ goal might include fusing the UW and the real SB together? Peter Pan wanted to create “the new Neverland” in SB and I could see Hades doing something similar in SB.

This seems likely — or something to that effect. It’d be in line with their whole Hades~Satan shtick. Down to the Paganini reference — there’s the legend that Paganini sold his soul to the devil to play the way he did, so the name drop at the end with Cora wasn’t innocent.

What I’m curious about is what Hades meant when he said that each time the clock ticks the UW loses a soul. Why would that be, I wonder?

My biggest guess is that the Underworldians are supposed to be able to finish their unfinished business somehow, however Hades probably cursed the world to where none of them would get the opportunity to do so, therefore whoever enters would be trapped forever…least until he grows bored and throws you into Hell. Basically, the Underworld is a game where you cannot win, and his fear of Regina is probably because she’s the most likely unfinished business for the Underworldians that were killed by her, therefore she poses the greatest threat to his kingdom. Well, not just Regina, probably Rumpelstilskin too which would explain why when Belle and Neal resurrected Rumple, Hades wouldn’t have put up much of a fight trading a threat out of his kingdom for the threat’s son.

And Arthur wanted to make a new Camelot in SB. It would be keeping in line with villain motivations.

Also, when was the last time that clock ticked? It was obviously frozen for quite a long time so who affected it last time?
