Except Arthur doesn’t count much as a villain. He was just a misguided man, missed understood Merlin’s prophecy. And after all, he seems to be against real villains and evil. Especially dark ones.
He put a spell on a woman to force her to stay with him. He got a man to commit suicide. He lied to our main characters constantly. Wanted to take over storybrooke (the same thing our most recent villain tried to do) and tried to kill several of our heroes…
At what point does a person go from misguided to evil? Even if Arthur misunderstood Merlin’s prophecy, that doesn’t give him license to do all that he did. He was evil. Power hungry and thirsting for a kingdom of his own to rule and willing to do anything to gain it.

Keeper Of Tamara's Taser , Jafar's Staff, Kitsis’s Glasses , Ariel’s Tail, Dopey's Hat , Peter Pan’s Shadow, Outfit, & Pied Cloak,Red Queen's Castle, White Rabbit's Power To World Hop, Zelena's BroomStick, & ALL MAGICMay 12, 2016 at 11:25 pm #323583nickyhelpBlockedI don’t really know how many new villains can come to OUAT when they’ve nearly covered them all! All that is really left is Scar, Jafar, & Dr. Facilier….we could have had King John had Robin Hood still been alive, but with this whole destroy magic plot, one really great villain to lead that would be Judge Claude Frollo considering his overly religious beliefs!
Don’t forget the Horned King for new villainss. He might be a new villain, if they ever put in. That includes Shan Yu. I’m not sure about Shere Khan though, because Graham as the Huntsman said animals are pure of heart and honorable. Then that would make Shere Khan and other animals the good guys. I came up with this funny idea with him saying: “You should also know that Snow White is a dear friend of Shere Khan.”
As for old villains…most of them are dead so that really leaves Evil Queen Regina, Wicked Witch Zelena, Dark One Rumplestilskin, & The Captain Hook….Ursula got her happy ending, Cruella is dead, Peter Pan is dead, Cora is dead, Ingrid is dead, Arthur is dead…but Maleficent is still alive.
Oh and you forgot King George for old Villains. The old villains that are still here and alive are Regina the Evil Queen, Captain Hook, Rumplestiltskin, That jerky brainless oaf Isaac Heller (no longer an author for good) King George, Maleficent, and Zelena the Wicked Witch. Also James is dead as well with Gaston, Cruella, Blind Witch, Pan, Ingrid and Cora.

Still he did move on and vowed to save the underworld and give hope to all when he understood the prophecy now. Remember?

I….don’t think that means everything he did in his past no longer existed. He still did all those evil things of his own choice. Helping Hook to find a book because he feared the consequences of those evil actions (not out of genuine remorse and regret mind you) doesn’t suddenly make him a hero. If Arthur had expressed some kind of feeling that he knew what he did was wrong and was on this journey to fix it all, i’d buy it. But he just doesn’t want to go to Hell. It’s not sincere. Not to me.
Now if I were the writers, it wouldn’t be that hard to have Arthur return as a villain. Arthur desperately wants a kingdom. When Camelot failed, it was SB. When that failed he is set on the underworld. He could very well be down there enslaving everyone somehow. I am saying its a possibility. I personally didn’t buy that the portal was opening for him or that he was committed to “Fixing” the broken kingdom of the underworld. It just doesn’t make sense to me personally. Just seems Arthurs really wants to be a king.

Suit yourself. But also remember this. He helped the Charming’s and Grumpy to save Regina and Robin from the fury. That didn’t sound like a villain’s work.

And in the very next episode he convinces a man to commit suicide to prevent him from revealing that Arthurs was duping them. Remember?

Please refer to all I stated about two comments ago. He did plenty of villain work.
I guess this is something we will see differently. I don’t quite see how his character was meant to be portrayed positively. But hey *shrugs*. I lot of the episodes were the heroes fighting against Arthur, afterall.

Suit yourself. No matter.

Sure, she was probably as surprised as he was to learn that Regina wouldn’t end up with her love interest, but I guess she’s playing it down now, since she didn’t even address how fans Regina and Robin feel. Maybe it’s because she still has a job whereas Sean M. is freshly out of a job. It could also be because of the large SQ fanbase who love Regina but not Robin. Also, Lana really seems to love playing Regina, no matter how great the challenge. She has also gone on record that she really loves playing the Evil Queen (even more than Mayor Mills), so the death of Robin somehow bringing out the Evil Queen a bit might be the perfect opportunity for Lana to flex her acting muscles more.
I think Lana knew the chemistry and the writing for her and Sean wasn’t that great. Robin dying at this point, only further allows Regina to flex her acting muscles, as you put it. So she clearly isn’t devastated by this.

Ummm….the writing for OQ did get a little messed up in Season 5, but the chemistry wasn’t that great? Really? The Chemistry Sean Maguire & Lana Parrilla had was brilliant, onscreen and offscreen, it’s how they were able to sell some of the crappy plot they were given!
Lana merely understands that sometimes in showtime, you’ve got to grin and bare it, and move forward no matter what you’re given. You may not be happy with the storyline, but it’s your job, so you still have to sell it…much like Sean Maguire explained in one of his interviews. Glass half full, glass half full!

May 13, 2016 at 1:12 pm #323609thedarkonedearieParticipantI guess just in season 5, there wasn’t much for them to do as a couple, and we didn’t see them act like a couple, so they were just kind of there and so as a result, the chemistry dipped for me.
