is probably Lottie from the Princess & The Frog.
Forgot about her. If we get a casting for Tiana’s prince then I’d say Lottie is a good guess and that the Tiana story is a bigger part of the season.
I actually think Lucy’s mother could simply be an original character created specifically for the show. I mean Henry’s parents, Emma and Neal, weren’t Disney characters either.
I could definitely see this and I’d like it, but didn’t A&E say a while back that Lucy’s mother was definitely a fairytale character? Not that they couldn’t have been lying or changed their minds.
Yeah that’s the tricky thing, isn’t it? We’re just not sure if what they said in May will match up with how they write in July-Dec.

This is my hope — that Lucy’s mom is an original character the way Henry and Lucy themselves are.
Even if Lucy’s bio-mom is a fairytale character, it doesn’t mean she has to be a character from a traditional Spanish fairytale or legend. For example, OUAT cast Lana Parrilla, a Latina, as Regina, despite the Evil Queen being from Snow White, a German fairytale. They also cast Joana Metrass, a Portuguese actress, to play Guinevere, despite her being from British Arthurian legend. Moreover, they cast Alexandra Metz, an African American actress, as Rapunzel, another German princess. Despite this show having been lacking in representation among its regular cast (other than Lana), at least the show’s casting hasn’t been shy to portray POC in tradtional European fairytale roles. By casting two Latina actresses as regular cast members and an African American actress a recurring guest star, I think the show is trying to be more diverse, which I think is at least a step in the right direction.

July 10, 2017 at 8:18 am #340063PheeParticipantThis is still the same show that forgot Cinderella had a girl and not a boy.
When did they say she had a boy?
It was that ep where Cinderella was running the day care playgroup thing with all the little kids, and she was clearly holding a male child instead of a female. Adam even apologised on Twitter for the production mistake where they messed up the gender of the child.
As for an aged up Robyn, I wouldn’t put it past them to create some nonsense explanation for her age if that’s who the actress is playing. Zelena had a sped up pregnancy, so let’s say Robyn was given to rapid growth spurts. Or she was practicing magic one day and accidentally aged herself with a spell.
I’d rather it not be her, just because personally I’d be totally fine if the show was purged of everything Zelena related this season, and it squicks me out how she named the baby after the man she raped in order to conceive said baby, so I’d rather not have Robyn around as a constant reminder of that whole hot super wrong mess. But I wouldn’t put it past them to include an aged up version of her.

July 15, 2017 at 7:03 pm #340259kranenParticipantSince we now know that Gabrielle Anwar is Cinderella, anyone want to re-evaluate their guesses on who the others may be playing? I feel like they could quite literally be anyone now – whether we’ve already had the character or not.
July 15, 2017 at 7:08 pm #340263RainbowParticipantI would say the Rose is the new Tink.

July 16, 2017 at 10:18 am #340315SlurpeezParticipantI think it’s still a safe bet that Mekia Cox will be Tiana. I believe A&E said that The Princess and the Frog was a fairy-tale they’d like to get to one day, so now would be their best opportunity.

July 16, 2017 at 10:20 am #340316RumplesGirlKeymasterIt follows that if Ramierz is going to play the new Cinderella, then Anwar might be playing the new Evil Stepmother, right? We’re all pretty sure she’s the Big Bad so that’s the one that makes the most sense.
