Question: Is there any hope that we will see Once Upon a Time‘s Robin Hood in a new adventure? When I heard Merida was coming (played by Amy Manson), I immediately thought that she would somehow end up related to him. –Chris
Ausiello: “We are going to see his adventure side,” series cocreator Eddy Kitsis answered when Matt Mitovich delivered your Q. As for the other ace archer entering the series’ mix, “Robin does not have a connection to Merida,” Kitsis said, “but he will intereact with her.”

They said they’re pretty much going the Frozen route with Merida, where they’re just plucking her straight out of the movie, so I doubt it. With Frozen last year, Ingrid was Emma’s foster mother, but she was specifically an original character to the show, and wasn’t a blood relative. So I think it’s safe to say that Merida at least won’t be blood related to anyone of the core characters.
Please don’t let Merida be related to ANYONE—I beg of you.

But I’d much prefer if Merida shares backstory with Snow….I’m holding onto belief she toughened up Runaway Snow into Bandit Snow!

Whilst Belle’s backstory with Mulan was a nice surprise, and Belle teaming up with Ariel was such a Belle thing to do, I found the backstory with Anna a bit forced, same with Charming’s backstory with Anna. I disliked how the writers made it look like Belle and Charming are only the people they are today because of Anna. Anna was such a Mary-sue, she was annoying. She was more annoying than GOAT.
