I can confirm exclusively that Meghan Ory is set to reprise her role as Ruby for multiple episodes during the ABC series’ Season 5A arc, which kicks off Sunday, Sept. 27.

If it turns out that Meghan’s already been filming for a while, then they’ve done a good job hiding her. Unless they’re gonna pull a Season 3B, where they filmed new scenes with Ruby and added them to episodes she clearly wasn’t originally there for when they filmed them. However, they did do a pretty good job hiding that Eion Bailey returned as August for PRESENT day scenes.

I’m more surprised that she’s in multiple episodes than I am that she’s returning. Maybe she, Belle and Merida go have an adventure

Good to finally have confirmation that she’ll be back and for multiple episodes too. Although now I’m starting to wonder if we’re finally getting the storyline which should have been 2B before they got the Neverland rights and scrapped it. We’ve got her and Lancelot back and Sinqua kept insisting that he’d be back that season until ABC shut him down.

There’s a theory running around the fandom that Emma will kill Ruby because:

“Emma is going to do something particularly bad,” co-creator Eddy Kitsis assures, “and to the people she loves.”

Murdering a townsperson and her mother’s best friend would qualify. I don’t really believe it myself, but it’s something to keep in mind.
