Any scoop on what’s coming up for Once Upon a Time‘s Hook? –Stef
I am hearing that, as perhaps hinted by Swan’s conspicuous reaction to last Sunday’s liplock, Hook’s heartlessness will indeed impact Emma – and that Belle will get pulled into his predicament, as things get ever dicier.Bonus Scoop: For Episode 15, Once is casting the possibly recurring role of a king whose crown was hard-won, and the fight to keep it has taken a toll. He is also described as “handsome, though not refined, and highly protective of his family.”

I think the king could easily be Triton or Stefan but given, Maleficient is coming back for 4B, I’m going with Stefan. Plus, he was the biggest jerk in the movie and I think the casting description fits him best.
My first instinct was Triton. Its a stretch bit if they go with the deleted concept of Ursula being his sister then his crown was hard won because he had to take it from her and banish her after she killed all their other siblings and his wife (the sister thing was deleted from the movie but added back on the Broadway shoe, and the fact that Ursula killed Triton’s wife and all their other sisters was added in the Broadway show later on apparently as I read recently :P) So that could be that. But King Stefan is an easier answer. The description sounds like him from the movie maleficent. So while I HOPE its triton (played by willaim Shatner:P) I think its Stefan.

Actually with Ursula coming to Once there is a good chance that is King Triton. Think about it how can you bring in Ursula without even considering bring King Triton especially his all powerful trident. Since she did desire to control the trident and become the new ruler of Atlantica. I won’t be surprised if it his him, since he is only character I know that fits the description. If it isn’t him then it is a new character, but like you I hope its him. Although I am not sure about Shatner, since I would like to see him be brought into a show with a character who is from out of this world like Dr. Jumba Jookiba (Lilo and Stitch) or sea captain like Captain Smollett (treasure island). Although if he did get hired I would still welcome him to show, and become very curious about his performance.
If we were in the middle of the Ariel story line, then I’d probably say Triton. But Ariel’s over, and when they did do her story, they rigged it so it didn’t involve any underwater interactions. They even rigged it so Ursula was represented above water in both the guises we saw her in. Before Ariel’s story started I’d wondered if we’d get under the sea scenes and how they might pull that off effects wise, so the fact that they avoided it makes me think it’s a thing they didn’t want to tackle. I dunno how you could do Triton’s story, especially if it’s gonna be linked to Ursula, without showing them interacting underwater.
All things considered, I’d say it’s more likely that this guy will be Aurora’s father.
