Did I miss something on Once Upon a Time? I though Charming couldn’t leave Neverland…. –Javiera
A few episodes back, Rumple revealed that once back in Storybrooke, he could fashion an elixir to ward off the fatal side effect of Lake Nostos’ healing waters. And though Neal/Bae goaded his dad into doing this gratis, “There will be favors that need to be paid,” EP Adam Horowitz teases. Adds Eddy Kitsis: “Rumple very rarely gives anything away for free. There’s nothing more he likes than having someone owe him.”Once Upon a Time‘s Rumple and Belle fans are really down right now because they’re always separated (by memory loss or worlds). Please tell us they’ll at least be in the same world in the second half of Season 3! –V
I brought your Q to the boys, and Horowitz assures the Rumbelle fans, “In the second half of the season, they are going to be in the same world for an extended period of time.” But Kitsis then chimed in: “If you’re a fan of Rumbelle, the second half of the season will further explore their relationship – in whatever state that is.” :-O[adrotate group="5"]"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 5, 2013 at 3:00 pm #228231RumplesGirlKeymasterThere will be favors that need to be paid,” EP Adam Horowitz teases. Favor: leave me and Belle alone!! Go deal with your own problems
If you’re a fan of Rumbelle, the second half of the season will further explore their relationship – in whatever state that is.” :-O
I…do not know how to take this.
Engagement. That’s the state it’s in. I’ve decided. Done.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 5, 2013 at 3:13 pm #228233angiebelleParticipantI’m so excited for the 2nd half of the season! Belle is finally going to be more included in the big picture, and I believe we are getting a lot more RumBelle too!
All I care about is that we see them! I know they are endgame and true love, so I don’t mind the angst! Every romantic couple on the show struggles- it’s what happens in drama.
Honestly, I’m not worried for them. They’ll be fine. They’ll come out stronger in the end. And Eddy likes to tease.
December 5, 2013 at 3:19 pm #228235RumplesGirlKeymasterSo as to the first bit about Charming and Rumple….this is my thought. Charming’s character has always been “white knight” even against those he may not *like.* So I think the favor is going to go like this:
*Rumple saves Charming*
Charming: “I owe you!”
Rumple: “Free of charge. My son asked it of me.”
Charming: “No. No, I owe you. For this and many other things.”
And Rumple, being Rumple, take him up on his offer.

That was never said on the show unless I missed it somehow. And I am not liking the word ‘goading’ being used because I feel like that implies something bad and Neal didn’t do anything bad when he told his dad to help David because it was the right thing to do. He didn’t want Emma or her family owing his father anything and IMO he’s right. Rumple should be willing to give this one thing away to show Neal that he means enough to him to do one task debt free. I’m gonna try to trust the writers with this one but they’re on thin ice with me about suddenly making a deal come out of that scene. 🙁
Happy for the Rumbelle fans though. You guys have been through enough this season so it’s time for some happiness! 🙂

It was never said in show…so….who knows? We theorized it was but *shrug*

If there is a proposal in 310, the sound barrier shall break.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 5, 2013 at 4:33 pm #228245kfchimeraParticipantMaybe the deal will be cute, like Rumple asks Neal to pay the price, and that is giving him his blessing to propose to Belle? Yes usually it is other way around but.. I could see Rumple feeling like he wants Bae to know he is not doing what Pan hinted and ahem thinking about “fertile” girlfriend for new family to replace Bae.
“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

I don’t think the deal will be malevolent. I think Rumple *is* trying. And if he breaks his deal with Baelfire, that’s it. There is no hope. Biggest step backwards in character development ever. Seeing as the only deal he’s ever broken before resulted in the entire show…so yeah.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 5, 2013 at 5:33 pm #228258SlurpeezParticipantRumbelle engagement! I can feel it! *crossing fingers*
A favor? I’m sure Neal already cleared the air so that the Charmings don’t actually owe anything. Must be Charming insisting to do something for Rumple in return. Perhaps Charming gives Rumple tips about how to propose to Belle! *gushing*

December 5, 2013 at 6:03 pm #228261PriceofMagicParticipantThe water can’t be lake Nostos water because we’ve seen Snow drink the water in FTL in Lady of the Lake. It didn’t kill her if she left FTL.
I so hope it’s a RumBelle engagement, it’s about time and Belle deserves it.
All magic comes with a price!
