Then, I can’t imagine Colin would leave. I mean, he left his band and moved his family to Canada for this show. And he seems to really love the role.
But remember what happened with Dan Stevens, who played Matthew Crawley on “Downton Abbey.” He had gained such a huge fan-base that he thought he’d may hay while the sun shines and has attempted to launch a film career. Colin O’Donoghue has gained such a huge following, he might hedge his bets and go elsewhere, expecting fans to follow after him.
I don’t watch Downton Abbey, so I can’t relate to that.
Anyway,
“The character dies, for real,” Kitsis makes clear — at which point his/her portrayer will, make no mistake, leave the show.
The wording here makes me think whoever is leaving, is someone who’s had a ‘fake death’ before and really, the only character who had a fake death recently was Neal. He “died” in the season two finale but we saw, that he didn’t really die. He woke up in the Enchanted Forest.

It’s possible that something has changed for the actor/actress.
I’m like 100% sure that our originals are safe.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"January 20, 2014 at 4:06 pm #238856RumplesGirlKeymasterThe wording here makes me think whoever is leaving, is someone who’s had a ‘fake death’ before and really, the only character who had a fake death recently was Neal. that could also just be allusion to the fact that they have a habit of “fake out” killing characters. Rumple, Blue and Neal are all victims of that. It’s a way of saying, “we’re not going to pull the wool over your eyes again”

By the time ABC’s Once Upon a Time closes the book on its third season, someone will have been definitively denied his or her chance at a happy ending. Because that person will be — gulp — ended. Series creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis tell TVLine exclusively that the fantastical series will be killing off a major character during the second batch of 11 episodes (launching March 9), resulting in the exit of a series regular. “The character dies, for real,” Kitsis makes clear — at which point his/her portrayer will, make no mistake, leave the show. Every series regular cast member is a possibility –except for Robert Carlyle. The EPs have agreed to rule out that one candidate, seeing as Rumplestiltskin is theoretically already “gone” (having sacrificed himself in the name of vanquishing Peter Pan).

Crap, holy cow…….I can easily see it being Belle.
Oh and they wouldn’t say this, but killing of Gold and firing Bobby would, for me and many others, be the end of the show.

The thing I’ve noticed with these polls, they have to throw him in there as a wild card but he’s really not. I think the top candidate is probably Neal.
Well we need to remember what hte PA said. The person wants out. It’s not a writing choice. It’s an acting decision.
Then, I can’t imagine Colin would leave. I mean, he left his band and moved his family to Canada for this show. And he seems to really love the role.
And by the same extension, he has a huge fan base now. Bigger and better things, as they say. Dan Steven of Downton Abbey did the same thing. As did Matt Smith of Doctor Who. When you’ve established yourself in smaller roles, you move up. I’mnot trying to start anything. But the fact is we don’t know the inner workings of ANY of the actors minds.
Matt Smith knew that he would have to leave as the Doctor considering he’s the 11th. Different ordeal all together.
Colin gave up everything to be on Once. Band and he moved his family and new born son to Vancouver for this show.

I am 100000% aware.
i am saying that Matt knew when it was time to leave because the larger roles, the non-small screen BBC roles, started coming in."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"January 20, 2014 at 4:12 pm #238864hookianBlockedI can tell this subject is gonna be so sensitive.
They WILL lose fans regardless of the route they go. I am 100% positive on that.

I hope not. And Ginny really loves playing Snow White. I don’t think it’s her.
Usually when an actress gets pregnant while appearing on a show, most of the time, it is written into the story and if the actress is OK with that, she stays on the show.

Exactly, plus let’s add Archie to the list. It’d also be too repetitive if one of the characters who “pretend died” were to actually die. I’m guessing it’s a character who’s never pretend died before.
