*sigh*
Shifting gears ever so slightly from “who is it” to “ramifications” I think this might be the death toll of ONCE. With actors/actresses actually fleeing and I’m sure a dip in ratings no matter who it is, I think this might be our first big sign that it’s 4 seasons and it’s over.

Now that I read the article–they say “major character” dying, but then say regular cast is not safe. That doesn’t mean major character = regular series member.
Could Whale die?
“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

Many of us have commented in the past that it’s odd they never gave him a more modern appearance as his character grew to become more than a pirate.

Here you go KFC.

We DID see Gold nearly lose it and go completely dark when he thought that he could never retrieve Belle from Lacey………As much as he loves his son, Gold’s moral center (as Bobby always talks about), his emotional touchstone, is Belle. Without her, I think even with Bae, he’d lose it.

That is interesting….what if Belle dies, goes to heaven/limbo/whatever after life and sees Mr. Gold there. That is how they’re “in the same place” for a while until Rumple returns to life or whatever…..I know convoluted and unlikely, but still possible. Maybe?

January 20, 2014 at 6:46 pm #238973Jenna_BParticipantI’m going to guess it’s MRJ…he’s got the most to gain here. He’s already had high profile roles in high profile shows, and he’s got a lot in the works. I’m guessing A&E and co did the same exact thing they did with Emilie – snatched him up and then gave him nothing to do. Which is why Emilie would be my 2nd guess.
I’m thinking it’s not Colin because as people have said, he uprooted his entire live to move to Vancouver for this role. Additionally it’d be a terrible career move for him. He’s an Irish actor with a huge role in an American tv show. Foreign film and tv can and are great, but the exposure and money’s in American film and tv (oh, I hope this doesn’t sound insensitive, I’m just trying to look at it from a global/financial perspective…). He simply does not yet have the resume and exposure yet that Emilie and MRJ have to move on and be confident the roles are going to keep coming.
Don’t think it’s Ginny or Josh either. Plenty of women in tv & film have babies and work. Again – deciding to stay home with baby? Terrible career move. She was on fire careerwise when they cast her as Snow, coming off of Big Love, but she’s not quite enough of a household name to decide to stay home for a couple of years with baby and then expect to come back, with roles aplenty. In their industry, you just can’t take time off to start a family because the work is not guaranteed – and out of sight, out of mind. Literally. Josh who? Josh what? Yeah, he’s made it clear he knows how lucky he is that they didn’t kill him off. Not going anywhere.
JMo? Yeah. Obviously not. Lana? Nope – same reasons as JMo. Jared? Killing off a kid on an 8pm family friendly show? Nope. They’d recast him before they’d kill off and 11-12-13 however old he’s supposed to be now!! kid.

LOL
Yay Dark Humor!
We should keep our eye on new upcoming TV pilots. See if any of them are looking at Colin, MRJ and Emilie. I think they’re the big three here
