Question: Will Emma and Regina sing together in Once Upon a Time‘s musical episode? —SwanQueenCreative
Ausiello: Hmm, it depends on what you mean by “together.” What we can say is that Regina, in the form of the Evil Queen, has a rousing solo in which she at one point slides on her knees à la Freddie Mercury. “The Queen has moves,” Lana Parrilla said with a smile during Matt Mitovich’s visit to the set. “She’s a rock star.”

I’m so confused.  So the EQ is still around in the penultimate?

    I don’t understand.

I think the musical episode will still have flashbacks, with songs in both flashbacks and present day. Not sure how they’re going to explain that, if they do at all.

I think the only way to explain it would be a la Buffy style, a one-off villain comes to town (and the EF) and causes everyone to burst into song.

I’m guessing whatever or whoever is inciting the singing did so once in the EF past. So we will see the heroes singing in the present day and past both times being effected by whatever is causing it

They’ve just never ever mentioned it! Cue the memory potion.

^ They don’t necessarily need memory potion to explain that.  Just have someone say “Oh, not this again.”  And it’s explained!  😆

I wonder who will make a cameo! It would make sense to include Jasmine since the actress was in another musical fairy tale series on ABC, but probably she won’t be given other spoilers. She’d also be expected, and Eddy hinted we wouldn’t expect the cameo appearances.

Maybe Graham? Maleficent? who would we not expect to see in a musical episode? ??

I am sure no-one is expecting a character as minor as Violet’s father to get time in the musical ep, but dude can sing!!!  😀

Check this video out!  I know everyone and their cousin has done this song, but this is honestly one of my all time favorite versions! 😎

Like I said, I doubt anyone is asking Violet’s father to sing at the wedding or anything, but here’s one more clip of him singing:
