I believe JMO is gonna be a lock for S7.
Yeah I really just don’t see how they could continue the show without Emma. I can see literally everyone else. But to me, they need Emma and Snowing. But mostly, the Savior needs to stay.

Right; they first major hurdle here is that the reason for the sudden sing-a-long needs to make sense in the show (the actual universe of the show–meaning the reason can’t just be “ratings!” or “Well, it’s Disney after all!”). And given that our current main antagonists are the Black Fairy (too loosely defined right now so no idea if there’s a singing connection), Gideon (same as the Fairy), the Evil Queen (who’s currently experiencing a bout of reptile-itis); and possibly Jafar
(who has given no indication that he’s prone to make people burst into song) then I’m left with “Random Big Bad comes to town and everyone starts to sing cause reasons.” Which is….eh.If they’re wrapping up Bobby I imagine Emilie as well. I believe JMO is gonna be a lock for S7.
JMo, Colin and Lana are the only locks I’ve got. My first thought after Bobby was Bex, actually. She’s been given little to do this year and they seem to be struggling with what to do with Zelena now that she and Regina have made nice.

The whole idea of musical eisodes is wierd to me. I doesnt fit the show, if they had made more fun with themselves and maybe experimented more with other far-out-episode they could have pulled a musical episode off, but now it will be.. really wierd…
Bex has become so irrelevant on the show. Even more irrelevant than Robin Hood in S5. She’s not doing anything.
They need to figure out what to do with her besides having her flip flop from good to evil based on plot. Either kill her off, or give her an ending bc she’s just wasted space it seems this year.
Probably wont happen but I think we are all assuming the songs will happen in present day. What if the whole singing thing is something that happened in the past due to some magical wishy washy in the FTL. I can buy that. However I don’t think it will happen because that means we’d probably only get songs from Snow, Charming, Rump, and Regina whereas as doing it in present day means we’d get the whole set with Emma, Hook, Henry, and others added in. But just a thought. I’d love to see Dark One Rumpel singing as opposed to Gold for some reason. I’ve never seen Labyrinth but I recall them saying he was based on David Bowie’s character, right
Anyway, I think giving Zelena a child just over-complicated things. It wasn’t necessary, but now that she has one I think she’s a safe surviver until the end and I don’t think she will become evil again. She is really underused in such a regina centric plot where she could be playing a much larger role. But we have a whole season half left so perhaps she will. I don’t think any of the new mommies are going to bite the dust (Snow, Belle, Zelena)

I’m going for original songs with references to Disney songs. Like how in Enchanted the beginning of “How Does She Know” has the Jamaican guy and the drums which were a shout out to Sebastian and the scene of her and what’s-his-face on the boat was also a little mermaid reference.
I think the songs will be new but will have certain familiar things in them from the Disney movies. Having them sing Disney songs would be….weird…
