TVLine has learned that for an early Season 5 episode, the ABC drama is guest-casting the role of Rumplestiltskin’s mother, Evanna, to appear in flashbacks.

Interesting. I wonder if she’s tied to any sort of Arthurian mythos given our Camelot location this season. Maybe Evanna is a code name.

I was generally excited to see this character was being cast. If its an early episode does that mean Rumple will wake up sooner rather than later?

I think the Black Fairy got un-fairy’d at some point.
And as to Rumple himself, not necessarily. They can do a Rumple flashback with his mom without needing Bobby to do anything either than be a comatose patient and obviously Bobby as Rumple won’t be interacting with the actress cast as Evanna.

Hmm. Three points:
1) I once read a book where a..witch..demon..goddess(?) lady was named Evanna. It wasn’t really explained but she wad a major character and very powerful. I don’t think OUAT will go that route but sweet god, if they did!!!
2) Okay so what Mmm…. Evanna+Malcolm= Rumpelstiltskin??? This had better be explained. That is just a really odd name to name your child when both names are relatively normal.

I’m sooooooooo freaking excited for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rumple’s momma!!!!! Peter Pan’s baby momma!!!!!!! Considering we’re dealing with Camelot…..I’m placing bets on either Morgause or Morgana Le Fay!!!
Seriously though, besides Black Swan, Rumple’s Mom has further hyped Season 5 a little for me!
