I would bet a lot of money, on how in the end was Rumple that casted the curse, and he also has his memories and somehow Alice is also involved in this and also had her memories.

Yeah, the writers are definitely into the trick writing, instead of actually writing character moments. I think Rumpel would be a more interesting choice because they could have him do it for the good, instead of hurting everyone for his own selfish choices. That would be too character for them.
