Good point MysteryKat and Demileto. I liked how short the Katherine and Tamara “triangles” were. I understand them teasing for a season but this is not How I Met Henry’s Mother ! I am trying to enjoy the angst within the show but the fan drama makes me want to say give us the fairytale not the soap opera regardless of who is with who.

Your last sentence times about 1000. This show is so much more than “ships.” It’s an integral part, yes, but it’s not the whole. I’ve stopped reading comments on any articles about ONCE because it always turns into some sort of shipping war and it’s driving me batty.

It’s getting to where I can’t read much anywhere because people insist on turning anything into a shipper war. I was living enough not being able to comment about whether we saw something on the show and having it turned into something else! The actors are kind people who are helping give us this amazing show and as much as I love interacting with other fans, it’s getting to a point where it’s hard to enjoy the show because people insist on destroying it left and right.

I saw a great post on tumblr (which of course I can’t find now, gr) about how people complain about absolutely everything on the show good or bad and how hypocritical it all is and that people need to chill. Could not agree more.

I know the first few episodes of the season were a bit of a downer for me because people were intent on telling me how awful everything would be until whatever episode they were actually looking forward to. With all the Hook hate going around (and it’s been around and back again *head-desks* I may have to go into a bubble to enjoy him next season as he is pretty much guaranteed to be getting a lot of screentime and I refuse to lose enjoyment of it while listening to everybody hate him. >.<

Also agreeing with you. 😕 I don’t mind the romance factor on my TV shows but the shipper wars that inevitably start tumbling out in the show’s fanbase drive me NUTS. It drove me batty with Lost and it’s starting to do that with OUAT too. It’s going to be a long summer if some of these shipper people don’t chill the heck out. 🙁

Well it wasnt just shipper people–you get people complaining about all kind of issues, from adoption, women’s rights, race–you name it. It’s ok to as fans maybe discuss it a little bit but the tiny little character limit on twitter prevents people from saying something of much value there without it looking like an attack at A&E /writers/actors. Some things I know they aren’t going to touch–it’s not an “issues” type drama like Good Wife or a police procedural ripped from the headlines kind of show.

I can’t read the comments section of that. It’s so tempting to decimate some of the so-called arguments on there but they just give me a headache to be honest. I’ve never really had to endure “shipping wars” with anything else I watch but this is ridiculous with OUAT and ugh, it makes me start to really hate some ships because of the constant arguments!
