Yep. IMO that thing is that Hook gives her Neal’s address as he’s being arrested, she goes there while he’s in jail, sees their dream catcher and whatever she’s looking at with the “that’s not possible”, then she drops the charges against Hook because she now knows he’s not a complete liar creepy stalker guy, and is willing to listen to him, and drink the potion.

Yeah I’m thinking something along similar lines except that the Mystery Man is going to play some sort of roll as well.

I know I’m beating a dead horse but there is no way to know if the hug is pre-drinking or post-drinking. She simply could have taken the cork out of the bottle. But that’s what I mean by context. *shrug* I’m just glad Emma isn’t going to be memory-less for more than episode.

Vancity gave a description of the scene RG.

Hook walks out of the police station, Emma’s waiting for him.

They talk, he gives her the bottle.

She drinks it and then they hug.

That’s the way the scene is played, if you don’t believe me I can send you the tweets in question.

So yes we do know the order of what happens in the scene.

The order that you gave RG is wrong. For example you’re timeline of how Hook gets arrested and then Emma meets with Gorham. That is incorrect, Hook is with Emma at the same place that we meet Gorham. In the trailer when Hook says “your parents are in great danger” it’s night time and they’re at a restaurant. There are also confirmation tweets that Hook and Emma were filming at a restaurant. The same one where Gorham and Emma have their scene outside.

Also when Emma says “that’s not possible” she’s in SB looking at a scroll, in Regina’s place.

Also there is confirmation that Hook, Emma, and Henry were filming in a apartment complex for episode 12 so that could suggest that they ALL go to Neal’s place.

I do remember all those spoilers, but the timeline is still wonky and VCF doesn’t hear dialogue or know context. He only sees what he sees. He has a half picture, in other words. Maybe Hook hugs her thinking that the potion works only to realize that it didn’t. See what I mean? Without context and dialogue, we can take the scene any way.

Emma may have memories back when she meets Mystery Man (Hook may be there but he’s not in any of the shots we have, so something is happening between Emma and Mystery Man sans Hook)

But there are still pieces to NYC Serenade that need filled in:

–when does Emma see the dream catcher?

–why is she meeting with Mystery Man

–why was she so upset when she was with him? (the pics clearly show her walking away, upset, and him chasing her down and giving her a kiss on the forehead)

–I don’t know that we can for sure say she’s in Regina’s when she’s saying “that’s not possible.”

In fact in another thread we compared interior shots and we couldn’t come up with a definitive answer. It looks like Regina’s but we also don’t know the whole layout of Emma’s apartment or any other place she could potentially go in NYC

1) Hook says, “your parents are in great danger” and it is clearly night but Emma’s response of “what are you talking about” is not clearly night. It’s much lighter which may mean that they spliced scenes together

So when she goes to dinner with Mystery Man she doesn’t have her memories back yet since it’s day time when Hook is released from jail.

Yes the scenes are spliced but not necessarily, in a different order.

My opinion is the scene at the restaurant is one of the last in the episode and that’s when Hook tells Emma like what exactly is going on.WW, parents being a great danger etc.

The park sequence is likely gonna be the first or second attempt of Hook trying to get Emma to remember which ends with Emma saying what are you talking about which leads to the cops and Hook’s arrest.

My Theory:

So…episode 12…somehow Hook is sent to awaken Emma and Henry, which we can assume will be done by the end of the episode. In that very same episode…Hook was given a memory potion by Regina just before the WWW’s curse came, and he left somehow through a bean. And then now he tells Emma to choose carefully who she wants to wake up from the WWW curse, and ends with them driving into SB.

Episode 13…No one knows the WWW is the WWW, as everyone is cursed, even Regina is cursed. As Emma attempts to find out about the WWW, she eventually decides to use that one memory potion to wake up Regina. Hence we see Regina throwing something across her room, which I assume to be the potion vial, as she’s angered that the WWW has recast the curse. Now Witch Hunt deals with Regina, Emma, Henry, and Hook working together to break the new curse, while also not seeming suspicious to the WWW, who I believe is the principal of Henry’s school.

I don’t think she is. Firstly, I don’t think it’s even the scroll, because that scroll had ornate gold detailing, and there’s not even a hint of that seen in the shot in the promo. Even though it’s in shadow, some of the detailing would still be visible, and it wasn’t at all, even when I lightened the screencap up in Photoshop. Also, we can see the curve of the collar on Emma’s red NYC coat, which is a completely different shape to the collar on her red leather jacket, which we know she’s wearing when she gets back to SB, (actually, it seems she puts it on before they leave for SB, because she’s wearing it in the scene with the Bug). And finally, the frame that can be seen behind Emma’s head in that promo shot, looks to me as though it could possibly be the framework around the doorway between Neal’s living area and bedroom.

So all of that considered, my best guess is that the “that’s not possible” scene is in Neal’s apartment when she finds the dream catcher, and if she’s having a moment like that in Neal’s apartment while Hook’s in jail, it would make sense for that to lead into her getting Hook out of jail because she’s now willing to listen to him.

Yes the jacket is the giveaway that it’s still Cursed!Emma in NYC. The costume designers are smart. They chose a jacket that is like her famous red leather one, but changed because Emma is not our Emma anymore. She’s New!Emma. So when she’s wearing the red peacoat, it’s NYC and Cursed. Leather  = No longer Cursed Emma because she’s herself again.

Haven’t posted in forever but I’ve been thinking a lot about the promo. A thought struck me the other day, and Phee’s screenshots made it seem more likely so I thought I’d add a theory! It looks like Emma could be holding a picture frame, and in Manhattan, Henry did seem rather adament about getting his camera to take pictures… Could this be a picture of Neal and Henry, or Neal, Emma and Henry? Or of course, Neal, Rumple and Henry?

 

Emma would start to wonder why there would be a picture of Henry with Neal, if she has no memories whatsoever of the events of Manhattan (and surely there was enough time to develop film, and surely Henry took a picture with his newfound dad). It would be enough to start her wondering, and honestly with all the plot holes this season I wouldn’t be surprised. It’s an easy enough explanation for her to start doubting her memories, even if theoretically there wasn’t a whole lot of time after going for pizza and rushing Rumple to Storybrooke. Thoughts?

It looks like Emma could be holding a picture frame, and in Manhattan, Henry did seem rather adament about getting his camera to take pictures… Could this be a picture of Neal and Henry, or Neal, Emma and Henry? Or of course, Neal, Rumple and Henry?

A couple of other people have suggested it could be a picture, too. I dunno if they really had time for developing photos, but I could also see them ignoring that fact if they wanted her to see a pic, because a pic would be definitive proof.

Given the shape of it, and that it looks pretty flat, my guess was that it’s a cross section of the map from the hotel where it says Tallahassee. I’m not actually 100% convinced of that theory, but I think it could fit. Whatever it is, it’s gotta be something the audience will recognise as well as Emma, otherwise we’re left sitting there all, “Say what, what is that?” when we’re meant to be thinking, “Yes, Emma, beliiiiieeeeve!” So of things that Neal might have, that could potentially be that shape, which both Emma and the audience would recognise, cross section of the map was all I could come up with because she and Neal didn’t have many possessions. She’s already finding the dream catcher, so odds are there might be a clip from the hotel flashback in the “previously on” to remind the general audience about the dream catcher, so why not show the old clip of the map while they’re at it?
