Remember Rumble gave Belle a spell to protect the town and also to hide it so I still think SB would be off the table they have moved on to NL. Like I said there is other places they could go too if NL is only 11 episodes, how many episodes would OZ be after all NL is the writers favorite.
[adrotate group="5"]August 21, 2013 at 2:51 pm #206102JosephineParticipantThey’re not going to just skip Storybrooke after they’re done with Neverland because it’s under a protection spell. The thing about villains like Regina and Rumple is that they need subjects to lord their power over. Without subjects, they’re just nobodies with psychotic disorders. And their subjects are currently all living in Storybrooke. Belle is there and if Rumple survives there is no way he’s not going to try to go back to her after all they’ve been through. Also, Charming and Snow aren’t going to abandon their friends and everyone they know.
Like was mentioned earlier, the Enchanted Forest is a wasteland right now. I see them going back eventually, but I bet there are quite a few peasants who want to stay in Storybrooke. Life was hard in FTL for the poor. At least in Maine they have electricity and indoor plumbing. If I were a peasant I’d want to stay in Storybrooke. Heck, in “We are Both” they were all gung-ho on forgetting their fairytale pasts before Charming talked them out of it. I bet if given the choice of living safely in our world if there is a way (safely being the key word) or returning to the old way of life, they’d pick Storybrooke.
They’re still filming in Steveston. They’re doing exterior shots in town and Adam said they’re not abandoning the town at all. Steveston has been good to the show. They’re doing the interior shots in a studio but they still haven’t completely let the town go.

Haha! That’s the best thing I’ve read all day! I agree that SB will still be around in S3, even if it doesn’t feature too frequently. There was a reason SB was saved in 2×22 and that Rumple tasked Belle with protecting the town. I think that the group will return to SB by 3×12 to fight off the remainders of PP’s cronies, the HO, from continually trying to penetrate the cloaking spell.

August 21, 2013 at 2:59 pm #206104HappyEndingsSpectatorThe only thing that they have is Rumble shop nothing more, that is why they are filming indoors not out doors anymore.
So what is everyone going to do in SB, stand around and wait for something else to happen no I don’t think so. If Rumple wants to return to SB for Belle then he can that curse that Regina did was for several Kingdoms not just Snows. In order to get people back to FL they will have to find other ways and it isn’t in SB.
August 21, 2013 at 3:12 pm #206108RumplesGirlKeymasterNo, they’ve recreated all of SB indoors on a sound stage, not just Gold’s shop.
Of course they aren’t going to stand around. Adam and Eddy know how to write. They know how to create problems. That’s what WRITERS do. I’m not a writer but here, off the top of my heads, things that could happen:
1) PP and Tink follow the JR back through to SB
2) THO in our worlds gets wind that the JR6 have defeated PP and they are out for blood
3) A new baddie living in SB rises up to take down Regina
4) Lots and lots of family drama"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"August 21, 2013 at 4:01 pm #206116HappyEndingsSpectatorGreg and Tamera are done, PP and Tinkerbell I seriously doubt that that will be ended too. That tired old story of Henry going back and forth with Emma and Regina. Another person who is in town after Regina that just wouldn’t work either what all 6 of them fighting to protect Regina in SB. Nah, it has to be something new and fresh other wise who want to watch this stuff in SB, I wouldn’t.
August 21, 2013 at 4:35 pm #206120kfchimeraParticipantI like SB. I like the modern clashing with the fairytales, and if they were done with SB, they wouldn’t have recreated the soundstage set for it.
As RG said, they are writers and while I wouldn’t call myself a writer as you actually ought to be writing things down, I like to imagine. They have plenty to explore in SB in terms of character drama. They haven’t fully explored the “what if some don’t want to go back” theme. Or does the real world really know? Can they even go back? Maybe they’ll find that even if they have means to travel, the world they left is too devastated, and SB will morph from a temporary home to one that is permanent, and they’ll deal with the character’s processing that. It’s hard to tell what their end-game is really, do the writers envision the characters settling in SB eventually or back in FTL? We don’t actually know!
I do think they will always end up exploring other lands too of course. It’s like some of those sci-fi shows, where they have a home base and a wormhole or a ship and most of the action is in the same setting, but every once in awhile you get some new elaborate setting.
“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
August 21, 2013 at 11:27 pm #206149coopsParticipantI don’t think the writers will ever ditch SB the whole format of the show is jumping back and forth from a real world to a fantasy world, detours to neverland/wonderland are to stop it all from getting stale I guess. I am a bit confused about next season though, if the first half of the show is all about the main characters in neverland and then half way through they get back to SB isn’t that the same story we had in season two? There must be other surprises in store as I doubt they would just repeat themselves.
August 21, 2013 at 11:37 pm #206153HappyEndingsSpectatorAnother thing going back to SB, MM little apt is very crowded and with Henry growing bigger how are they all going to live there? Like I said what them come back to be Sheriffs and what with Snow do? I still think they will go some where other then SB.
August 21, 2013 at 11:43 pm #206154PheeParticipantSB is still vital to the show. Several of you have outlined exactly why, and the potential for it being used in the future, so I don’t feel the need to re-hash the reasons, which all seem obvious IMO.

I think it’ll be different in the sense that the threat is more far reaching this time. In S2 it was case of saving and bringing back 2 people who were stuck in FTL, and there were also 2 baddies, who each had very specific goals to get to 1 person each. I think the repercussions of NL events and battling with PP, will involve a threat for the whole of SB from THO. This may be the “final battle” that Rumple spoke of.
