1.) Snow was the only one wearing a backpack on the ship. Will she be the only one with a change of clothes? Does she have the supplies for everyone? Why didn’t they grab more stuff it’s going to get smelly?
2.) So this is LOST 2.0 isn’t? Smoke monster=shadow?
3.) Why didn’t Regina use her magic to telport to the dock when GOAT had Henry? Was she all out of it from stopping the failsafe?
4.) What did Blue do to Gold since he is having Belle protect the town and he questioned why Blue suddenly was able to restore the memories.
5.) Will we be seeing storybrook again and where are the shooting NL? Hawaii? A set?

May 13, 2013 at 12:34 pm #193699spitweetParticipantYeah, my biggest concern was WHY didn’t Regina just stopped them from moving right before they jumped the portal the way she stopped Daniel from attacking her ?
Also…where was Laine MacNeil ??

All questions henceforth about the Blue Fairy will be answered thus:

She just nearly exhausted her strength, and her life, to prevent the failsafe from detonating. I don’t think she could do anything magical, and was physically only running on adrenaline.
OK: my processing.
What do we actually KNOW?
1. Peter Pan is in Neverland.
2. Nealfire is alive (just?) and is wherever Aurora, Phillip and Mulan are.
3. Storybrooke is safe and can be protected from the outside world, so no more GOAT style incidents
(and personally, I’m quite OK with Belle staying behind because it means we will return to Storybrooke and all those wonderful characters in it, no matter how pessimistic Rumple might be about his journey having a return date)4. Peter Pan has been looking for Henry for…. how long? OK, we don’t know how long, but we do know Pan is looking for Henry.
What do we THINK we know?
1. GOAT are working for the Home Office which is run by Peter Pan.
That’s the obvious outcome of Rumplestiltskin’s analysis at the end. But we don’t actually know that GOAT know Pan is in charge – in fact, we know the opposite. Remember their chat with Hook at the start of the episode? They both admitted they have no clue who is actually calling the shots – and it didn’t matter. Which is, quite frankly, weirder than usual for these two. Let’s work for a zealous organisation committed to torture, murder and eradication of all magic, which will ask us to die for the cause, but never question why we’re doing it and who is in charge????
We also didn’t have it confirmed that the Home Office is aware it is doing Peter Pan’s bidding…. perhaps the Shadow can influence?2. Peter Pan wanting Henry and Henry being the Dark One’s Undoing….. too coincidental. Must be linked.
3. The Shadow is Peter Pan’s shadow.
We think that, because of the connection to the original story of JM Barrie. But remember what Creepy Gang Leader said – Pan’s punishment is to rip away your shadow…. Perhaps he can turn shadows to his use? It would seem deeply weird if Pan’s punishment to people who annoy him is to do what he’s quite happy to do to himself.4. Plot Device Fairy is Plot Device-y.
What do we definitely NOT know?
1. Where are Nealfire & Co currently?! Neverland? Enchanted Forest? Somewhere else?
2. How did Peter Pan get connected to the Home Office and vice versa?
Seems the theories about the Lost Boys setting up the Home Office might be right, in a round about way… if we think of the Pan Gang as the “Lost Boys” of legend, and not the actual boys who are lost in Neverland….3. Why does Peter Pan want Henry?
See point 2 in what we think we know.4. How did GOAT start working for the Home Office?
They’re willing to die for their cause, they made that abundantly clear. We know why/how Greg/Owen became so desperate. But we don’t know about Tamara (cue theories about Robin Hood and Maid Marian etc here).5. How many worlds is the Home Office in?
Seems that Peter Pan was sending the Shadow only to the Land Without Magic. Seems, but we don’t know. Maybe they went to different lands as well.6. HOW DOES RUMPLESTILTSKIN KNOW ABOUT PETER PAN & THE HOME OFFICE?????

Snow learned her lesson after being stuck in the pink cardi for so long the last time she took a portal out of SB.

I’m starting to wonder if the report of her being on set was a case of mistaken identity. Or perhaps she was a random SBer who’d been running the streets as the forest started growing back, and she just hung around to watch some other filming too, so people thought she’d be someone significant, but she actually wasn’t. Her presence was reported at the same time as Freya Tingley’s, from memory it said they were both seen on set at the same time. But Freya wasn’t in this ep either.

We also didn’t have it confirmed that the Home Office is aware it is doing Peter Pan’s bidding…. perhaps the Shadow can influence? There was some speculation by various people about the Shadow’s ability to influence people’s minds. This was based on the fact that it looked creepy as all getout but kids (who aren’t Bae) are perfectly happy to fly off with it, so perhaps it was twisting their minds somehow.
It makes PP ridiculously ominous if GOAT are doing his creepy bidding, but don’t know who they’re working for, and don’t question it. Obviously they must know that THO is active in NL, but they obviously don’t get orders directly from the top if it’s been established that they don’t really know who they’re working for. Hook must have found this a terribly bizarre state of mind to be in, given that in his own life, he’s been a ship’s Captain, ensuring that everyone below him knew who he was and that he was in charge. It’s no wonder he was looking at GOAT like they were nuts.

More likely that it’s one he’s taken from someone else, my bet is on it being Felix’s (Creepy Gang Leader) shadow.

Ever since the spoiler pics of these guys came out, I’ve been thinking they were in FTL, after having brought back Phillip’s soul, and I’m sticking to that. Was kinda shocked that we got so little of them. All of us in the spoiler forum were anticipating an explanation of how they’d brought Phillip back, and we’d figured it’d involve Lake Nostos, and that they’d then use that same water to heal Nealfire. But we got none of that. Guess they wanna keep people guessing about Nealfire’s fate for the whole hiatus.
2. How did Peter Pan get connected to the Home Office and vice versa?
Seems the theories about the Lost Boys setting up the Home Office might be right, in a round about way…As of right now, I’m thinking that THO was originally a separate thing set up by someone else, (Darlings?), which has since been overtaken by PP, perhaps because he saw them as a threat?
6. HOW DOES RUMPLESTILTSKIN KNOW ABOUT PETER PAN & THE HOME OFFICE?????
If Rumple has some knowledge of inhabitants of NL, then how on earth did he manage to not find Bae there?

Indeed. Would explain why Wendy was all “oh the Shadow is WONDERFUL” when it was clearly the creepiest thing this side of the Ring TV drowned girl.

😆 Indeed! That look was great, and I think marked the point where Hook was “OK, I’m off.” It was less about imminent death and more about THESE CRAZY PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO DIE AND THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO IS CALLING THE SHOTS????

Thank you! I kept thinking “Rufio? No, that was the film Hook. What was this guy’s name?!”
And Felix did seem to talk from experience about the pain of having one’s shadow ripped from them….. hmm. Something to ponder.

Seems legit. After all, PP has moved from having a Shadow go to recruit/steal boys to having an entire organisation of zealously dedicated (and crazy) people hunting Henry in the guise of eradicating magic.

No idea. Passed like ship’s in the night?

May 13, 2013 at 2:14 pm #193764KebParticipantRumple has suggested the following things:
1. His son has been running for a long time. (He KNOWS that his son was running from him. How?)
2. His son was still alive after 250ish years. (Why would he assume that if he didn’t know something about where his son was?)
3. His son went to a land without magic, and he needed a way to get there–hat wouldn’t work, the slippers from (presumably) Oz might have worked, beans were the most reliable method.
4. He knows LOTS of stuff, has worked tirelessly to get back to Bae, has made deals with just about everyone in the process, and has/had the ability to see some of the future. (And apparently he told Lacey about THAT ability, too, because she totally quoted his words to Henry to reassure him they’d meet again.)
5. Whoever is in charge of the home office is scarier than he is. And he’s the Dark One.So. In sum, he MUST have had ways to track Bae through the ages they were separated. He also must have had reasons not to go where Bae was. It’s implied that Bae spent a very long time in NL, accounting for his age. Obviously, he and Hook both found a way to escape fairly recently. NL is scary–Hook’s not happy about going back. And Pan apparently knew about Henry centuries before he was born.
It’s possible that Rumple didn’t go to NL because there isn’t actually magic there, but Wendy and Bae both said that there was. So there had to be something else stopping him, forcing him to wait to get the curse cast and find Bae in the Land Without Magic. Either something so scary that he was afraid, even as the DO, to face it (combined with knowledge that Bae was at least safe?), reliance on the prophecy as determining only one possible outcome–but then why trade for things like the slippers?–or something that actually prevented him from going to NL before this moment.
I guess we’ll (maybe) find out in five months.

I think Rumple went to NL to get his squid ink for his over plan regarding the Curse, ran into Peter who rips out the shadows of children to stay young forever. Rumple’s shadow (as the Dark One) might have been a great “meal” for Peter and that’s why Rumple knows how dangerous he is: Peter tried to rip out the Dark One’s shadow.

Oh, and on the clothes issue?
They’ve got RUMPLE with them. The man is a total fashionista. There’s no way he’ll let them go unclothed for too long. He’s dressed up half of them before anyway. He totally knows their sizes.

May 13, 2013 at 4:24 pm #193845PriceofMagicParticipantWe know Peter Pan/the shadow didn’t want Wendy in Neverland because she was a girl and he/it only wanted boys.
How is Peter Pan/the shadow going to react to Emma, Snow and Regina turning up?
All magic comes with a price!
