How is Peter Pan/the shadow going to react to Emma, Snow and Regina turning up?
Good question, especially considering how very powerful Regina and Emma clearly are together.

I think Rumple went to NL to get his squid ink for his over plan regarding the Curse, ran into Peter who rips out the shadows of children to stay young forever. Rumple’s shadow (as the Dark One) might have been a great “meal” for Peter and that’s why Rumple knows how dangerous he is: Peter tried to rip out the Dark One’s shadow.
This is my favorite theory so far!
Why didn’t Rumple give Emma the globe to use? Surely as Henry’s mother, Emma has a stronger bloodlink to Henry than Rumple as Henry’s grandfather does. Rumple could’ve then stayed with Belle in Storybrooke and helped protect the town.

Well, I don’t think there was any circumstance that would keep Rumple from setting sail. He didn’t go to NL because of the blood/globe thing, he went to honor Bae because he believes he is dead.
As to the globe and Emma: that’s a good point but I think it’s just a parallel thing. Oh I agree. My heart is still broken over this. I’m hopeful that they’ll be reunited by winter break and then they can just be together for awhile. Let CaptainSwanFire have all the angst.
