Unanswered Questions for WL 1×01 – "Down The Rabbit Hole"

I seem to have a lot of unanswered Wonderland questions which I hope a lot of them will answered during the last 5 episodes of the season. Some are just fun to theorize about. I’m creating a thread under each episode with these questions. Feel free to add your questions, answers, theories, etc. regarding this episode. Have fun! I can’t wait till March!

Unanswered questions for WL 1×01 – “Down The Rabbit Hole”

1. Where did Alice learn to fight?

2. Was Hatter released by Cora to live in a house before or after Cora left with Hook?

3. Did Knave travel to EF after leaving WL or did the curse take him from WL? Partial Answer: According to 1×4, Will left WL because of either his debts or he couldn’t take being in the same land as Ana according to Lizard.

4. Cheshire Cat said that WL has gotten stranger, effects from EQ’s curse?

5. How did Will become the Knave of Hearts? Did he work for Cora?

6. What did Knave do to be so hated in Wonderland? Partial Answer: According to 1×2, the caterpillar has a bounty for his head & Silvermist hates him. In 1×4, according to Lizard he has a lot of debts.

7. Why did Will end up in Storybrook with the curse? Did Regina bring him there on purpose or was he in the EF at the time of the curse?

8. What was Will’s cursed identity in SB?

9. Is Alice the White Queen but doesn’t know it yet?

10. How did Cyrus’s red amulet end up in front of Hatter’s home? Did it fall from the sky or was it planted there by someone like the Door Mouse or possibly the RQ as part of her game?

11. It had been at least a year between Cyrus getting kidnapped by Jafar & Alice’s return to WL, what were RQ & Jafar doing during that time? Why would it take that long to find Rabbit and “convince” him to get Alice?

12. Could Rabbit always dig magic portal holes or was that an acquired trait?

1. Where did Alice learn to fight?

Cyrus was teaching her swordplay so I also assume he taught her hand-to-hand

2. Was Hatter released by Cora to live in a house before or after Cora left with Hook?

Yeah that’s a very good question

3. Did Knave travel to EF after leaving WL or did the curse take him from WL?

Because the Curse didn’t take anyone else in WL (except for Jefferson and that was because he knew Regina) I think it took the knave from EF

4. Cheshire Cat said that WL has gotten stranger, effects from EQ’s curse?

I think so. I wish we’d see him again.

What did Knave do to be so hated in Wonderland?

I think this has a lot of do with who took his heart and what they (read: Cora) made him do while under their control.

He is the Knave of Hearts so he probably dragged people before Cora and watched and she cut off their heads

Why did Will end up in Storybrook with the curse? Did Regina bring him there on purpose or was he in the EF at the time of the curse?

Like I said, I think he was in the EF. I think once Alice got him his heart back he somehow found his way back there.

8. What was Will’s cursed identity in SB?

Honest headcanon on this: he was forced to sit in front of the telly for 28 frozen years and watch the Care Bears

9. Is Alice the White Queen but doesn’t know it yet?

Please yes. PLEASE. That was mine and Jo’s major headcanon before it started airing

10. How did Cyrus’s red amulet end up in front of Hatter’s home? Did it fall from the sky or was it planted there by someone like the Door Mouse or possibly the RQ as part of her game?

I think the Rabbit planted it there?

12. Could Rabbit always dig magic portal holes or was that an acquired trait?

I suspect it’s something it’s just something he can do. Like a talking Cheshire Cat.

Please yes. PLEASE. That was mine and Jo’s major headcanon before it started airing.

Alice can be the White Queen & Cyrus would become the new White King and they can rule over WL and build it to it’s original glory pre-curse.

2. Was Hatter released by Cora to live in a house before or after Cora left with Hook?

I think before. He needed time to set up his house and be known to live there, and Cora didn’t leave that long before the Curse was cast. Also, I want the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to have happened in the Onceiverse, and he’d have to have been a free man when Alice was younger in order for that to happen. I think that eventually Cora realised that he really didn’t have the ability to make a magic hat, so she let the loon go.

9. Is Alice the White Queen but doesn’t know it yet?

Quite possibly. I also liked the theory, (can’t remember who first posted it) that perhaps Lizard is the rightful heir to the White throne. Elizabeth is an appropriate name for a Queen.

Answer to question #1 – According to 1×12, Alice learned to fight from Will & then Cyrus.

Answer to question #5 – According to 1×12, After he had Cora rip his heart out, he ended up working her as “Jack of all trades”, the Knave of Heart
