Hi, guys!
The question of the summer is: will magic be only in SB, or will it extend to the rest of the world?
I think it will bring magic back to the people who had it before the curse, and maybe affect some people who didn’t have it in the EF. But I think it will only affect the people currently in SB, and then the purple smoke will lift or something. I do, however, think that (if they can leave SB) their usage of magic will not be limited to SB.
Emma wasn’t affected by the curse, and I think she always had magic- she just didn’t believe. Maybe Henry does, too.
What do you guys think?

I think when the curse was broken, the people of SB could’ve left town for a briefest sliver of time, since they were no longer bound by the curse. Yet, for some reason, Mr. Gold was sure in a hurry to pour the vial of love potion into the well to bring magic to SB, and it seemed time was of the essence. I think one of his reasons was to introduce magic, which seems to have created another barrier for people to overcome, almost like another curse. I think that there is still going to be a boundary between SB and the rest of the world, and that something else major will have to happen before that barrier can be overcome. Once that is accomplished (whatever it may be), then perhaps magic will affect the rest of the outside world beyond SB. My main purpose for thinking this is that a lot of SB citizens will want to leave town, and it’d be difficult to tell a story if the characters are all spread out. For the sake of the plot, the characters still must be contained somehow (perhaps by this new magic). While it closes the citizens of SB off from the rest of our world, it could open portals to other worlds (specifically, I’m thinking Jefferson’s magic hat will work again).

I also really like that idea that Emma has magic, as Jefferson said she brought it to SB and Henry said things started happening since she decided to stay in town. The clock started working, the mines collapsed when she put on the badge, Graham remembered his FTL identity, David Nolan woke up from his coma, and eventually Emma broke the curse with her belief and true love’s kiss to save Henry. If she was capable of that before she even believed, I think she must be capable of much more now that she knows who she is and that there is magic. Also, she is the product of true love, the most powerful magic of all, so I think Regina and Rumple might just have a contender in Emma Swan.
Also, Adam and Eddy hinted that now that magic has come to SB, it is like a form of currency. You can learn it and spend it, but it always comes at a price.

I don’t think they showed how far the purple smoke went; I don’t remember seeing it stop anywhere, just dissipate in StoryBrooke. It is possible that magic is in more of our world than just Storybrooke. At least, I think so. 🙂

Whoever the mystery man was in New York who received the postcard is obviously from FTL…perhaps he was unable to enter StoryBrooke until the curse was broken, or did not want to until their was magic.
Perhaps the curse only contained those that Ragina threatened at Snow and Charming’s wedding in StoryBrooke and other characters are spread throughout the world. -
