Unhappy endings already

There are a couple of characters who had unhappy endings in the book – Belle for one. So what happened to their memories when the curse set in? Did they lose them or perhaps keep them? Is that why Belle is locked up?

On a separate point, I believe Belle was the librarian and she was responsible for the book ultimately getting out. We don’t really see any other books around…..

I beg to differ about Belle…..her story is not ended. I think there is a lot more story to tell about her and there are not even close to her end.

The other questions however are the same ones I have myself.

Belle’s story was never in the book. I went back and watched the beginning of “Skin Deep” and it goes directly into the EF story and then to Storybrooke where Gold is dealing with Moe. There is no reference to the book that I can find. In fact, I don’t think Rumplestiltskin is in the book at all. That’s one reason Henry has no idea who Gold is in Storybrooke.

I have thought about that too. If she is in the book then Rumple is in the book. Belle’s story is linked to Rumple’s. No one other than Pin and Regina really know who Gold is. I fhe was in the book then Henry and Emma will know who he is.
