Maybe then the connection to Rapunzel thing is true.  Sounds like she was imprisoned–perhaps by her mother who didn’t want her with Walsh?  So he’s trying to rescue her by pretending to love Emma to keep her from SB.  He “kind of liked Emma” not in the actually in love with her way but just he thought she was nice, and he didn’t want to have to hurt her but if its her or Rapunzel, well, he knows what he has to do.

So basically, Rapunzel = Greg, and Walsh = Tamara.   Walsh has a secret love affair going on with someone who’s been wronged in the past by a Witch 😛

Well, looks like this forum is an official psychic now.

I was surprised they made that reveal so quickly, with Emma being completely aware of what he really was. They did a great job with the Monkey CGI. Walsh was legit scary. I remember one spoiler article saying Walsh had a scar, which I didn’t pick up on on first watch, but I guess if so, that was there to confirm that he’s the same Monkey that Robin shot with the arrow. It seems he was sent to keep Emma away from SB, considering he was pissed that she’d taken the potion and remembered who she was.

    Yes to everything you said!

If he is the same monkey, then what  with all the other flying monkeys? Does the WW have only one?

Here’s an interesting theory. What if prior to becoming a flying monkey, Walsh started out as the Tin Man? Think about it. He owned a furniture store, which could tie into his occupation as a woodsman. He also wanted to win Emma’s heart. Perhaps Zelena promised the Tin Man a love life in exchange for servitude, and walla he’s a disguised flying monkey dating Emma. Of course Walsh could simply just be a flying monkey and nothing more, but hey why not share a theory.

Maybe. With OUAT you can never say that a theory is too crazy.

You know what I can't continue with the dead people brought back to life list I'm out of space in the signature and now we have an underworld arc this is to much I quit why do you bring so many people back to life OUAT WHHHYYYY

    Crack theory below

I think we can definitely say without a doubt that Walsh is the same Flying Monkey who attacked Regina & Snow 1 year prior in the Enchanted Forest because he does indeed have a scar in his neck where Robin Hood shot him with an arrow so that being the case it means that before he attacked them he was in the bushes watching & listening to Snow & Regina talk about Emma & Henry which means that Walsh could have told Zelena that Emma & Henry wasn’t with them.

I think it’s possible that Zelena could have been told possibly by Aurora that Emma was the child of Snow White & Prince Charming and that she was indeed The Savior who broke the curse and that she & Rumplestiliskin’s son Baellfire also have a son together.

So going on that theory I think Zelena may have some how tracked Emma & Henry to where ever they were in the Land Without Magic in this case New York City so she sent Walsh in human form to keep an eye on them maybe she intended to somehow use them as leverage against Snow, David, Regina, Neal, Rumple before her curse was enacted and Storybrooke was recreated. Then once everything was in place she could have had someone send Hook a message telling him that Emma’s family was in danger and they had all been cursed back to SB and that the savior was needed. But somehow I don’t think that is quite the case exactly, I don’t think Hook was being entirely truthful with Emma about everything. I can’t help but think that Hook possibly encountered Zelena when he left David, Snow, etc instead of going with them.

I don’t think we have seen the last of Walsh I suspect we will see him again only the next time it will be in Storybrooke. Speaking of Storybrooke I don’t this is the real Storybrooke in fact I think it’s a recreated version of Storybrooke within the Enchanted Forest that is hidden & cursed. I think there was a portal at the town line made specifically so that Hook could get Emma & Henry because Zelena may have needed them there as the final part of her curse and then once they crossed the town line that portal disappeared and then the portal to either the EF or OZ was put there in it’s place trapping everyone including Emma Henry there with the flying monkeys guarding the town line and that as a consequence of trying to escape by crossing it is that Zelena turns those who attempt to do into flying monkeys.
