ParticipantHer powers were out of control when her sister put her in the urn, but she had complete control of them after she was released. Also, she seemed like a completely different person than the sweet, sobbing mess she was just before being imprisoned, and she didn’t really seem to care when Elsa mentioned that Gerda was dead now too (all those years being good friends and she didn’t seem to care at all!).
All this leads me to believe that Ingrid was conscious in the urn and drove herself a bit mad.
However, the only thing which dampens my theory is that Elsa didn’t seem to remember anything from her time inside the urn, if I recall correctly.

I think this probably has more to do with someone (Ingrid?) taking her memories as opposed to anything urn-related.
As to your overall OP: Possibly. Rumple seems to remember/know what it was like inside Pandora’s box.

I didn’t think of that. Yeah, I suppose she could just be neglecting to mention her memories of being imprisoned (if she has any), as only her missing memories of her time before being imprisoned are important when it comes to finding out what happened to Anna.
I re-watched the ep, and I’m now convinced that she was mulling over her sister’s betrayal whilst imprisoned. She really does seem to have gone a bit mad, and that wouldn’t have happened during the split second it took for Gerda to open the urn and trap her inside. If she hadn’t been conscious inside the urn she still would have been in terrible pain upon her release – grieving over Helga’s death and Gerda’s (somewhat understandable, imo) reaction.

Participant“Who are you?” – Hans
“Well from what I just heard, I believe you’d call me a monster,” – Ingrid (3×03 Rocky Road)
I think it’s safe to say Ingrid was fully conscious while trapped in the urn, which maybe why she’s a bit looney now. She spent every bit of 25 years trapped in an small urn…..aka Magical Nut House.

Ah! Thanks for the quote 😀
Yep, guess that settles it then, she was stewing in solitary confinement for all those years! What a nightmare… 25 years!? That’s a long time to be alone with your thoughts, especially when you have a ton of guilt on your shoulders. Poor Ingrid, she didn’t mean to hurt her sister 🙁

How do we know this? I don’t remember this?

Belle was kept in solitary confinement for about 30 years, 2 of which she had her memories…..

Okaaay? Forgive me, but I don’t see the relevance of this. Mind elaborating…?

People seem to think that Ingrid is a little loony because she was locked up for 25 years in solitary confinement. I was just saying Belle was locked up for longer and she’s not loony. Ingrid can’t really use that as an excuse I guess.

I think you’re forgetting that Belle and Ingrid are two completely different people, with two completely different histories, who will handle things in two completely different ways. Holding one person who has been through something terrible to the standard of another person who has been through something terrible when it comes to how they deal with their tragedy is unfair.
Belle never had to deal with the guilt of killing her own sister, or the pain of being betrayed by her other sister. Ingrid had 20+ years to herself to dwell on this (what must have been) unbearable pain.
I would hate to deal with 20-30+ years of solitary confinement, and think that Ingrid’s reaction to such a thing is more in-keeping with reality than Belle’s reaction. Solitary confinement is used as a torture method for a reason – because it is torture.

Belle was feeling guilty over Anna. I’m not saying that Belle and Ingrid would react the same way, just pointing out that Belle was locked in solitary confinement too so it’s surprising she’s not a little loopy.
