Yesterday I flew to Melbourne to meet Keegan & Raphael at Oz Comic-con. They both had a Q&A session (at different times obviously) and asked both of them if they’re in the first episode of Season 3 seeing as the first episode of each season has been cast centric so far.
Keegan responded saying “No, but I have been told that I will be needed for episode 3”.
Raphael just responded with “No’ and then he started blabbering on about how fans are always asking for hints of what is to come but they all honestly know nothing, blah, blah, blah.
So if we’re not seeing Keegan until episode 3 and we know that Raphael isn’t in the first episode, I’m just going to assume that we won’t see Storybrooke until the third episode. If we do see it before then, it may just be scenes will Belle putting up the protection spell or whatever.

Just because two characters aren’t going to be featured in episode 1 doesn’t mean Storybrooke isn’t going to be featured at all. In fact I’m expecting them to check in to all three lands (Neverland, Storybrooke, Present-day FTL) within the first episode then start alternating between lands in the next few episodes.

Belle, Grumpy and Granny are more important characters than Blue and Archie so I think we will at least see Belle in SB putting up the barrier, if nothing else in the first episode. After that Grumpy and Belle can handle SB on their own. However….why would they need Blue for epi3? Many of us already think this will be the episode when we meet Tink. Keegen didn’t say if it was for SB or NL/FTL.

Secondly, thanks for getting some goss. 😉
As far as seeing SB goes, I’d imagine we’ll probably check in in ep 1 at least long enough to see Belle put up the cloaking spell. Maybe we could get Grumpy stopping by Gold’s shop to see if he’d given her the potion, and she can tell him about Henry being kidnapped and the others leaving. If they established that the cloak was up and word was out, then I could see them not showing SB at all in ep 2, and when we go back there in ep 3, they can start showing what everyone’s up to.

In my previous post I almost said that she may end up just being in flashback. But I’d think that considering there are fewer major players in SB now, if we see her in flashback, we’ll probably also see what she’s up to in present day.
If, say, they show her in flashback and reveal that she had some connection to PP and/or Tink, I’d then expect to see what she’s doing in SB right now, being that she’s in league with the guy who just orchestrated the kidnapping of Henry.
Even if ep 3 ends up being a Snowing ep and we just see BF in flashback in relation to them, I reckon they’d want to also show us how she’s handling the present day situation with Snowing out of town.
July 7, 2013 at 9:20 am #199708RumplesGirlKeymasterAgreed. A and E love their parallels, so if we see Blue in a flashback in FTL then most likely we’ll see her in present day SB. Episode Three could be a Blue/Snowing episode. Think about it: have we seen HOW Snow and Blue met? Or any interaction they had previous to the Snowing wedding? So, FTL flashback of Snow and Blue and then SB present day following Blue and present day NL focusing on Snow.

That is a very good point. We also still have the “Dark Fairy” thing out there. It also seems sort of natural for BF to come talk to Belle at some point. Grumpy and Grany may also be “council” figures but they aren’t as magical as BF. What if we get a parallel not between past and present, but between SB and NL, with Emma learning magic from Gold and Regina, and Belle learning things from BF?

July 7, 2013 at 11:37 am #199714angiebelleParticipantI don’t think it would make sense to not show Storybrooke in the first episode of the season, because that is the episode that sets up the rest of the reason. I imagine for that one they will show us the beginning of every story thread they plan to have us follow.

Hate me even more yet? 😛
