Good point. Does the math add up though? I forget how many years have passed but if henry was 18 when he left and he’s 28 now, would Alice be around 10 if she wer born after his departure (since he clearly doesn’t kno Rump has a daughter so she couldn’t have been born before).

Also I wonder what that Drink me potion around her neck does I doubt it’s growing and shrinking like the movies

I don’t think Henry is 28. They would be really stupid if they did that again after what they did last time. Henry is like 35, i think. Henry was significantly older when he met Cinderella verses when he left Storybrooke. And Lucy is ten.

I’m fairly certain Adam tweeted sometime over the summer that Henry wasn’t 28; I’m going with about 35–the original casting call was for someone in their thirties, IIRC.

I’m sort of wondering if Alice is Jefferson’s/Mad Hatter’s daughter.

It would even be a cool parallel that she’s working with Rumple the same way her father once did.

    Thoughts?

That would be really cool! Especially if it meant Sebastian Stan guest starring again.

And now it drives her mad that all anyone thinks of when they hear who she is is that one Alice in Wonderland story, which isn’t even technically her story.

Yup, I think you’ve nailed it.

It’s why she’s so snappy with Henry about meddling in a story that isn’t his own. She’s been there done that, and the repercussions are a never ending annoyance to her. So she’s trying to be a good great-aunt (or whatever relation it would make her) by telling Henry to bugger off and not insert himself into Cinderella’s story.

Good point. Does the math add up though?

It’s been over a decade since Henry left SB, but other members of his family still look the same. He and Cinderella have a daughter who’s about 10, but they look like they haven’t aged a day since they met.

Isn’t AdultGideon coming back in some as yet unknown capacity? If so, then it stands to reason that we could see his slightly younger sister as the age Alice is, and that’s the point in time that she gets yanked into the story we’re seeing.

If there’s one thing about these writers that I still have faith in, it’s that they can come up with some nonsense handwavey reason for any character to be any age to serve whatever story because reasons.

I don’t think Henry is inserting himself in Cinderella’s story. That is the whole point. Cinderella went to the ball and met a prince and she left her shoe and now he is trying to find her. That is the story. That is Henry and Cinderella’s story.

Oh I agree. But Alice doesn’t see it that way.

I really like the idea and it would fit what we’ve seen of her so far, but it’s been ages since we’ve seen Jefferson. Do Adam and Eddie even remember him at this point? If (new and better) Alice is Jefferson’s daughter than will they at any point mention his other daughter Grace?

Man there are just too many forgotten children on this show. If they’re going to have baby storylines I wish they’d do something with the actual child once it’s born rather than basically pretending it doesn’t exist. As for the age disparities they’re always running into…maybe Lucy (pre-curse somehow in Storybrook) was crawling around great-grandpa Rumple’s shop, she accidentally tips over a magic bottle and POOF…she’s ten. It could work.
