ACTING was good … but…
I did not like the story … or the darkness … I am glad that Regina did not take Snows heart .. Hopefully SNOW gets her head back on straight.
I like we finally found the GREG / OWEN have a legitimate story for here in SB… I just might grow to like him.

ParticipantI loved this entire episode. My favorite moment was the final scene with Snow and Regina. I thought Lana and Ginnifer did a superb job.
I also thought the “Empty Heart Curse” was a great way to create tension. From a character point of view we are pretty sure that Regina would never intentionally inflict physical harm on Henry and from an audience point of view, we are pretty sure they are not going to kill off major characters like Henry (or Rumple, Regina, etc…) Despite this knowledge they created a great sense of dramatic tension that Regina might actually use the curse on Henry (assuming they could find a plot device for her to somehow use Snow’s heart without actually killing her). I found it very easy to believe that Regina would be tempted to do this and thought there was a chance it might actually happen if they could write it in such a way that Ginnifer Goodwin and Jared Gilmore would still be on the show but playing cursed versions of their characters for a while.
The threat of the curse created a real concern for both characters just as the darkness in Snow’s heart has now created a concern for her. We have to worry that something really bad can happen to the character because they can put Snow through a lot of terrible things while still keeping Ginnifer Goodwin on the show. Making the audience worry that something might actually happen to the characters is a sign of good writing.
I didn’t really have a “least favorite” moment. I even liked the car chase and I find most Hollywood car chases to be cheesy and boring cliches.

ParticipantFavorite- Rumple telling Snow that he tells himself he is doing the right thing, and eventually he might believe it. I think that shows us a lot of insight into Rumple. Ginny and Lana’s acting. I also thought Jared was fantastic and very believable. I loved the scene with Neal and Emma in the diner. “He’s YOUR son!” Classic.
I loved the whole episode and thought it gave us a lot of insight into many characters, especially Owen/Greg. Finally we have some awareness of who he is and what he is doing there. It was so sad, having his dad telling him to run, knowing that he wouldn’t be able to return to Storybrooke. I wonder how many times he drove down that road, trying to get into the town. And then finally he could.
The only thing I’m confused about is Henry’s relationships with Regina and Emma. It is clear that right now he doesn’t seem happy with either one of them. The only person Henry seems to like right now is Neal. Maybe a set up for Neal to take Henry somewhere in Episode 22??

ParticipantI love that by the third day Regina was already board with her curse, and then she tries to start an argument with Mary Margret and she yells out “You’re not even going to fight back”
I also liked Greg/Owens backstory, at least we now know that he’s not just staying in Storybrooke to be a pain he’s actually looking for his dad
Good always wins < That's just what Rumplestiltskin wants you to think Keeper of Belle's Theme Music, The Queen of Hearts Maze, Cora's Missing Heart,Tiny's Golden Harp

ParticipantFavorites:
-Neal + Henry at the dinner (DaddyBae is the cutest thing ever,MRJ is amazing, he is just SO charming/cute, it makes me love him even more..hope he becomes a regular for season 3) 😉 Also LOVED that Henry is a perfect mix of Emma/Neal…He was all smart snarky and witty like Emma, and all Badass, intelligent, noble..using misdirection to run like Neal =D Also the Bae/henry feels..Henry wants to save Regina from magic, like Bae wanted to save Rumple!!-Neal + Emma starring in “the Swanthief parenting problems 101” Always remmember he is your son…what would nealfire do? lozl (Did you fall for that? He is YOUR son) that scene was SO funny, charming, cute! Swanthief feels!! Perfect OTP is perfect! 😆
-Regina and little Owen scenes(So creepy, sad, bittersweet, cute) 🙁
-Regina vs Snow (kill me scene) Poor Snow she is desperate! Hope there is a way she can remove the darkness growing in her heart…Lana’s + Ginny’s acting was Flawless..

ParticipantWow. Another great episode.
Regina going through mourning – great acting. She is a nonce, but she’s a nonce in pain. Why is she a nonce? Because she’s so dumb. My mum is dead and I know it’s manipulative Rumplestiltskin’s fault but I’ll just add it to the list of reasons I want Snow White dead. What’s that? Strange folk in town? Gee I better act like the craziest mayor ever seen and demand they leave my kingdom…. oops, township, immediately. Cute boy manages to break my ice cold heart? Wow. I’d better try to kidnap him!
But I don’t mind that Regina is a moron. It explains a lot about her character – she looks to magic for the answer for everything, much like Rumple did. But he learned from his mistakes – sort of. And is learning more now. She hasn’t. She cast the most epic curse ever, and was bored with it within 3 days. She scares off everyone by being nuts and throwing her magic around to get her own way and then complains that no one likes her. She plans to trap Henry with fake affection by casting a curse that will kill his grandmother, knowing that he would never forgive her for it. She just does not get it. She hasn’t worked out that magic comes with a price – she keeps thinking that she can beat it.
Emma’s reaction to Neal’s parenting flunk – “he’s YOUR son!” Hilarious!
Nice that there is a point to Greg now.
So Storybrooke was invisible to the rest of the world…. interesting. Is it the same now? No one has stepped outside (and remembered to look!) and remembered.

ParticipantI think the saddest thing about Regina is that she WAS a mom when she met Owen. She had totally had her chance to love and be loved by Snow. Snow wanted a mother, and did act lovingly toward her even until the huntsman took her to the woods. But because she cast the blame that rightfully belonged to Cora onto little Snow, she wasted that chance. And she’s right, she never learns from her mistakes.
Loved this whole episode. Only least favorite thing is that there was no Belle.

WOW. This. She did have a chance to be happy. If she had never misplaced all that anger and hatred on to, but instead been a good mother to that girl none of this would have happened. NONE OF IT.
