My standard response for press release troubles: ABC is incredibly biased when it comes to their press releases and they often do not reflect the actual plot.
Well I will say this……..the people at ABC who do the Season introductory press releases are clueless. They continue to say that Gold brought magic into SB so he could continue his feud with Regina……… Every time I read that, I cry, lol.

I wish you had more appreciation for the show as a whole. 3A has been really good despite Belle not being too much in the forefront. Next week’s ep look positively eerie and mysterious! I love stuff like that.

I think I’d rather see her on another show, making use her incredible ability, even if it meant no Belle. That’s just me, though. I love her so much, but waiting and waiting for something that will never happen makes me unhappy. I’d be ok with Rumbelle ending, I think, in these circumstances (it’s not like we get them on screen much anyway). She’s not even filming with Bobby and the rest of the main cast now. LOL They supposedly reunite sometime around 320 and yet where is Belle? Why isn’t she with him?
I guess in the end it’s different strokes for different folks. I loved 312 – I haven’t seen 313 yet and I probably won’t watch it until Saturday. I don’t know how much more is coming – you trust Adam and Eddy, which is great, but I don’t. I guess I’ll keep watching until one day I………..don’t.

I don’t like this storyline. I care nothing for the actors and actresess (well except Lana) but really it’s the STORY I am not liking.
a few hours ago, Gold, who is a huge force in all these characters’ lives died right in font of them and no one even talks about it?
every other character is being talked about. Regina is being constantly talked about by Red, Grumpy, snowing, etc. because she did something huge, she gave up henry and saved them all. so they TALK about her. good. but not a single word about Gold?
when they thought Neal was dead there were lots of little moments of people talking about him… Emma with Hook, Snowing, tons of Regina and Emma, Regina and Rumpel. EVERYONE talked about Neal.but the only time we even heard his name mentioned was when Charming was all “rumpelstiltskin s dead, ok? get over it” to Bae. and when Zelena, of all people, was sad to hear that he was dead from Regina who didn’t even say HE was dead, just they are both dead. like as if Cora was the more important dead one.
look, I get it that all the characters hate him. I get that he has a bad NAME in FTL where everyone if terrified of him even though he never harmed any of them, so I wouldn’t care if none of them cry for him, but his absence is a huge deal and no one says anything and it really bothers me.
it’s as if were he to really die, he would be very easily forgotten by all. just as if he never existed. no one would even be happy that he’s dead, they’ll just go about their business as if he never existed.
believe me, by now I’d be thrilled if someone like grumpy just says oh gold’s dead. good riddance. or something. I’ll take ANYTHING!
I swear, when Zelena mentioned him I was sitting at the edge of my seat hoping Regina would say he is dead, but alas, no, she just said Cora is dead along with … you know that imp, what was his name again…? no she didn’t even say that.
THIS is what I hate about the story telling here
(they could say things like when Regina is making the sleeping curse she got it from MAl but now she can make her own all the writers had to do was add the words “Rumpelstiltskin taught me how” or something about charming going under the curse IN GOLD’S SHOP. or Emma could say “Oh I wish GOld were here he’d help us replicate this potion in a jiffy”)
I think they are doing it on purpose because, unlike for us crazy people who follow every single thing that happens in Once world, Rumple is supposed to be dead. As far as the characters (and average fan of the show is concerned) Rumple was dead until we saw him at the end of 313. So they were purposely NOT mentioning him, except for Belle and Neal planting the seed that he could possibly be alive, so it would be a shocker when we saw that he IS actually alive.
Remember for the characters in SB they are super messed up right now and thought they watched Rumple die, were going to lose Emma and Henry, had to back to the EF, but then . . . didn’t . . . but they guess they did since Snow is pregnant . . . but people are missing . . .
So they are more concerned with trying to figure out what happened to the people who they know were ALIVE than the the one they thought was dead. Then add in that flying monkeys swoop in . . . and people turn into flying monkeys . . .which leads them to understand the WWW has cursed them, which doesn’t seem to have anything to do with any of them, including Rumple as far as they know.
Regina and Emma spent a good period of 3A focusing on how they are able to work together to use their magic to accomplish powerful things so it doesn’t surprise me that they wouldn’t feel like they need Rumple. He and Regina always were competing over who was more powerful and he did train Emma a bit as well.
Personally I LOVE Robert when he plays the EF version of Rumple so whether Rumple is really nutso or just pretending doesn’t really concern me – I just love to watch the man get to do some serious acting!! But I do have the feeling he was either acting act his alter ego making a statement on how wacked the WWW is and we were SUPPOSED to think he was crazy or he is pretending to be crazy in order to help everyone out from the inside while Neal is helping out as the hooded figure from SB.
But I wouldn’t count the rest of the season out. One thing I have figured out is, unlike other shows, because Once is a fantasy, each season (or sub season now) tends to have a much more pronounced feel to it compared to other shows – and if you try to watch it the same way you do any other show it doesn’t really work. The vast majority of episodes on this show contain info on characters that will be important down the line, maybe not until the next season, but it will be important. So sometimes when you get frustrated with an episode or you watch an episode and think “I don’t get it, that didn’t do ANYTHING at ALL for the plot” you just have to sit back and wait. And since A and E have already said that they have a “theme” for each season or subseason you always have to keep in mind that the reason the are doing (or not doing) something is because they are trying to drive a point home about their theme when they wrap up the season.
So far I like 3B because more than any of the other seasons it has made me think DURING the show (not just in between episodes when we are hunting for spoilers) what the heck is going on?? Which is impressive because that is EXACTLY what they WANT you to be thinking because that is exactly what the CHARACTERS are thinking. In the past we knew in advance what was happening and we watched the characters figure it. The new form of storytelling, as far as I can tell, is that we are figuring it out at the same the characters are – but we seem to be learning some things a step before them from flashbacks to the EF in the same episode. That is kind of what gives it the “what the heck is going on?” element. You learn something in the EF, then are left hanging in the EF while you learn something in SB. It’s actually quite brilliant because it is so frustrating. Exactly how it would be if you have no memories of your time in the EF or you’re Emma and have no memories of the year in the EF or SB, everything has to be pieced together and joined together in order to make sense and figure out what is happening.

when Henry neded saving in Neverland, they were more concerned with trying to figure out how to save him, yet they still found the time to talk about Neal. ALOT. and I am not expecting them to miss Gold as much as they did Neal, or to care that he’s dead, or to be sad at all. just to say something. to mention the fact thet the most powerful amongst them is NOT THERE. they don’t have to miss HIM, but they could miss his power. and the hope he always gave everybody like when they always said to him: “you’re the dark one, do something!” and now all these horrible things are happening and he isn’t there to do something anymore. so the characters should mention it.
Two things : I admit that even though Belle has barely had screen time, her few moments have been important ones. That said, I don’t like her lack of screen time in non-Belle episodes and that has to change.
Also: Neal’s storyline is really about Emma and Henry, as Adam and Edfy have said; his focus is not really his father. That’s Belle’s story. As such , I don’t see him playing a huge role in saving Gold.
I am now not sure that Belle will see Gold in FTL; if so, it won’t be in Quiet Minds
