Check out the photo. All the realms are in the same location.
There is no way to see all the details in the photo I posted but if you will look at the lake Charming rides across you can see the land underneath the lake. The deeper part follows the same path as the rivers in the picture of Belle’s mother’s castle. The shallow part follows the same path as the land. There are small portions of the river still visible underwater. The dry land that Philip rides across is the same dry lake bed. All the mountains have eroded…it is the same land.
We’ve already shifted…multiple times. All the realms are in the same location but must be in different dimensions or time or both. When Charming rides across the lake, it is the same dry land that Philip rides across. Charming and Philip’s path cross each other. Aurora’s castle is in the same location as Belle’s mother’s castle. All the gazebos…same place. It is some type of dimension loop. Sizes change. The gold hand prints that Charming and Snow put their hands in…were too big because the system is contracting. Perhaps it is in a continual loop. OMG! I don’t know how I didn’t see it before. Perhaps this is why there are so many books. Each book for its own time/space.
So what do I mean by same place? All the gazebos on the same spot of land…Snow and Charming’s wedding gazebo same place as Aurora awakes from sleeping curse…same place as Philip and Aurora’s picnic…same place as Bo Peep’s gazebo. Each in a different time or dimension but the same spot.

Yes, some sets are used multiple times but that’s just because of budgets (For example, The King’s castle in “The Price of Gold”, King Xavier’s castle in “The Miller’s Daughter” and Prince Eric’s castle in “Ariel” as well as various on location places) but this whole ‘Different Dimensions’ / ‘Different Times’ theory is non-sense. Pretty much every character has interacted with each other in some way during a flashback at some point.
And as for that gazebo part, Aurora was still sleeping whilst Snow and Charming were getting married. So she would have been sleeping right in the center of the wedding. In Season 2 we actually see both of these locations. Aurora wakes up and then a few episodes later Snow, Emma, Mulan, Aurora and Lancelot / Cora went back to the Royal Castle to try to use the wardrobe.

I am not talking about sets…most sets are green screen and can be anything they want. I am talking about the big picture.
The landscapes are all the same and follow a similar mountainous profile and lake-bed pattern. The mountain profile is similar to the one from Lost. We had a hint at these duplicated realms back in the promo picture for Season 2 (the wall). We also had a hint when Henry was talking to Regina after he got his memory back. He told her there was an apple tree just like hers in New York’s Central Park and he told her he had gotten good at math…not Stephen-Hawking (known for his quantum cosmology theories) but pretty good. The writers have said they are creating a universe. Another hint was when Rumple dropped his straw doll off the cliff and then the straw doll fell back down on him from the sky. That is exactly how a torus works…and yes, this is how a train can be in Storybrooke…the world is in a loop….expanding and contracting. The expanding and contracting also causes size changes. It was so funny seeing Aurora in those gloves that were too big for her..also Snow and Charming, their hands were smaller than the prints. Even in the Secrets of Storybrooke, Lana talked about ill fitting clothes…contracting universe which then loops around and expands.
Aurora and Snow are not in the same Gazebo…but they are in the same Gazebo spot in two different dimensions. Time works different in Wonderland…Alice falls down a hole yet crawls up a hole. Have you noticed the episodes where it starts off upside down and then does a flip right side up. Oz comes to mind as I specifically remember it happened there. This again is a quantum universe loop….constantly renewing itself.
The writers have never given us a timeline. We have created it ourselves. The Storybrooke timeline seems to be linear but I believe we will find that we made many assumptions as to the timeline in the Enchanted Forest as well as other realms. We knew the timeline in the Enchanted Forest was mixed up from episode to episode but we assumed that within each episode it was constant…or at least we could splice it all together in somewhat of a timeline. I think we are going to find that this is not the case and I’m surprised we didn’t see it earlier..once you change the perspective it is easy to see when looking at each episode. A good example of that is David and his mother. Compare their story in The Shepherd and then look at the story in White Out..the one where David has long hair and Anna teaches him to sword fight. The cottages are not the same. We assumed White Out came before The Shepherd…because in The Shepherd David could fight and in White Out he learned from Anna. Go back and watch them. The cottages are different. In the one with Anna the cottage is much larger…two rooms not just one room. David’s mother has a lot of grey hair…David’s hair is obviously long. Now look at The Shepherd. The cottage is very small…no extra room. David’s mother has a lot of brown hair with some grey but not that much. Something is happening and I believe it is multiple versions of the same story.
Jane Espenson gave an interview several years ago about Snow and Emma falling through the hat landing back in the Enchanted Forest or at least what was left of it. http://www.tvguide.com/news/once-upon-time-espenson-season2-spoilers-1054260/ She said that it reminded her of cinder Earth in Battlestar Galactica. Also think the ending of Planet of the Apes when they are trying to get back to earth only to find out that they are on earth and the Statue of Liberty is half buried in the sand on the beach. I’m not sure how it is shifting…whether it is the realms or the people but it is shifting.
We also have geometrical patterns common to 4th Dimension Space on the floor of the gazebos as well as many other places. Many times we will see the same pattern increasing in complexity. I’m so surprised I didn’t see it sooner.
All the big picture landscape settings match…even Wonderland and Oz. We have some sort of multiple Alternate Universes all operating in the same setting but in different dimensions/times in an infinite universe. They could have come up with their own concept or used a concept universe like a torus (which looks like a donut continually turning in and reforming) or a tesseract which is a connected cube inside a cube that constantly renews itself. I’ll include some links at the end of my response. They are both rather remarkable concepts. This is the whole hat thing…Jefferson’s hat…the doors…and now the sorcerer’s hat which looks to hold an entire universe.

Chances are we are seeing the same path, gazebo, cliff face etc for budgetting reasons.
However, I am open to the idea that it is the same place but different dimensions…different versions of the same place.

Thanks onceaholic…I drew out the comparable river tracks which follow the same lines as the shallows. This is CGI so I do think it is purposeful. I guess time will tell. I’m looking forward to the next set of episodes.
