Agreed, @Watcher!  I don’t know if it’s headcannon per se, but I just can’t shake the feeling that Elsa & co. is just a giant misdirect and there’s something super secret they’re keeping from us that is the real threat.  They’ve said Elsa is misunderstood, which is not really evil – and although I think it would be extremely refreshing for A&E to break from the mold and maybe focus more on the characters than the big explosions and cgi madness and whatnot, I can’t imagine them actually doing that.

Which of our season villains has been “really evil” instead of misunderstood? Pan, I’ll grant. He was more evil for the sake of evil than anyone else but Cora, Zelena, even THO….all more tragically flawed misunderstood characters.

I have no headcanon anymore. I’m going in a clean slate with no preconceived ideas.

My headcanon: things will happen. There will be magic. Someone will be misunderstood. There will be angst between couples. People will slam doors. Someone will find a plot device that changes everything. Good will win…ish.

True, RG…although I’d say Cora nears the few redeeming qualities end of the spetrum…

I guess what I mean is I can’t see them using Elsa as a percieved bad guy and the ‘villian’ of the season…I feel like maybe there’s someone else lurking that A&E are using Frozen to hide

Maybe. But their problem is always playing with ALL THE THINGS! It’s possible that Hans will appear as the true villain and Elsa/Anna/Kristof are there to help

What if Ava is Snow’s biological mother because the resemblance is undoubtable but Leopold is not the father? Perhaps Leopold was firing blanks so Ava got pregnant off of Kristoff and pretended it was Leopold’s. Ava usurped Cora’s place but did the same as Cora. Elsa would be very angry if she found out that Kristoff had betrayed her sister with Ava. It takes two to tangle so Elsa’s anger would be directed at both Kristoff and Ava hence the harshest winter. Ava may have had Blue Fairy put Elsa in the urn since Ava and Blue Fairy were in cahoots. Rumple may have had possession of the urn, but he didn’t put Elsa in there.

HOLY CRAP! That would be EPIC! But…the only thing is…I can’t see Kristoff cheating on Anna. It would definitely explain Snow being born in the harshest winter due to Elsa’ wrath.

And for those confused on the lines of Misunderstood and Villain….

I’d think that Elsa may have once been Misunderstood, but so much crap probably happened, people outside of Arendelle probably were terrified of the Ice Queen. We all know the Duke of Weasleton had it out for Elsa, not to mention Hans….it maybe possible they spread horrible rumors about Elsa that made everyone else in the land fear the terrible Ice Queen.

But for now…I think I’ll stick with my two headcanons as one or the other may come true.

    1. Ava crossed the The Ice Queen somehow, and Elsa unleashed her wrath upon the White Kingdom, hence Snow White was born during the harshest winter.

    OR

    2. After crushing the Gypsy’s heart, Rumple sends Regina to befriends the now lonely Ice Queen Elsa, whose sister married Kristoff. Regina is supposed to gain Elsa’s trust for some reason, and toward the end, Rumple pops up and imprisons Elsa in the Urn thus scarring  a guilt consumed Regina, making her quit Rumple’s lessons because she knows that she helped Rumple imprison her new best friend. That’s why in 3×03, Rumple states Regina stopped her lessons, and she was very hasty for him to leave.

One loose end from season 3B that I think they might use for season 4 is what changed Eva from a bratty princess to a just queen. Having Snow say, “I guess I’ll never know what changed her,”(3×18 Bleeding Through) just felt like a big teaser. I like the idea of Eva’s change being related to Elsa somehow.

I can accept that SOMETHING happened to Eva without knowing, but why draw attention to it if the writers don’t have a plan?

Good point, but what if Eva cheated on Leopold with Elsa’s man? Hence why Elsa’s wrath would be directed at Eva causing the harshest winter. Perhaps Elsa turned her cheating partner into a snowman?
