I may be going out on a limb here, but judging by the look on Rumple’s face and the “joy” doing said act would bring him. I believe the person who is in Rumple’s crosshair is the Blue Fairy. If there is one person in Storybrooke he hates the most it is her. He has no love for her or any of the other fairies. Every time he has ever even mentioned anything about a fairy it has been with distain. If not for her none of this would have ever happened, but as soon as she gave Bae that magic bean, it just set off a chain reaction of bad events. I believe Blue is the ultimate bad guy but I could be wrong. Like I said it’s just a theory.</p>

Could well be. If he needs some hardcore magic, Blue’s his best bet, and he’s sorta hated her for centuries since she gave Bae the bean so he’d quite enjoy destroying her.
I can’t see Ingrid telling him he needs something that could be got from Emma, because she wants Emma for herself.
Spoilers do seem to suggest that Rumple might target Emma though?
November 10, 2014 at 7:48 am #289613TheWatcherParticipantBut does Rump still hate Hook as much as he did before? I know they aren’t best buds but I felt Rump was kind of over the reason he hated Hook in the first place. I wouldn’t have guessed he is the one he hates the most. But the heart of the one you hate the most would be interesting. Although it doesn’t seem like much of a price. The heart of what you love is a huge sacrifice. the heart of the one you hate is…well..idk. Who wouldn’t sacrifice someone they hate. But I do think that whatever happens, Hook will be in danger from Rumpel. We’ve got pics of him with the hat and I doubt rump would just give it to him willingly. Plus the whole Emma will be fighting to save Hook thing. So yeah, Hook is gong to be in danger.

I’ve been on Team Sneaky Fairy for a long time and I’d love to be right about it. That would be a good twist.

I know Keegan has been doing other projects and they’re focused on Frozen but there hasn’t even been side comments about talking to Blue about Elsa or the Snow Queen.

November 10, 2014 at 8:56 am #289619FelieParticipantAnna did trick him out of the hat all those years ago, and Ingrid isn’t too fond of her, so he could need something from her. Let’s face it, Anna is alive somewhere in SB, and all this time we assumed that Ingrid has her, but what if Rumple has her? He had her necklace after all, so he must have caught up with her sometime after her return to Arendelle. Perhaps she burned him twice, which would make him take great pleasure in sacrificing her.
"so there’s this new show….."
"there’s lesbians in it"November 10, 2014 at 9:50 am #289628SlurpeezParticipantI think the two big contenders whom Rumple would harm with great pleasure are Hook or the Blue Fairy. While Hook and Rumple tolerated each other in S3, they’ve gone back to their old ways. Rumple has no love for him, and would happily remove him from the picture. Rumple’s loathing of the Blue Fairy is as old as the story itself, going back to when she gave Baelfire a magic bean which resulted in the separation of father and son for centuries. Rumple taking out the Blue Fairy would make the most sense as far as his acquisition of magic goes, seeing how the Blue Fairy has been called “the original power” and all. Perhaps he needs to suck her into the hat to give him the ultimate power. However, I still would’ve thought Rumple would need Emma’s magic, since True Love magic is the most powerful of all. But would Rumple suck Emma into the sorcerer’s hat “with pleasure”? That I’m not so sure of, but I wouldn’t put it past him either.
Also, I’m having a really hard time buying that Rumple’s goal is world domination. Not only have we never seen Rumple try to use his magic to take over any land, but how is he supposed to use his magic to take over A Land Without Magic? That makes absolutely no sense. The last time Rumple stepped foot over the town line, he was mortal without any magical ability whatsoever. And if there had been a way for Rumple to introduce magic to the rest of this world, I think Rumple would’ve found a way then, seeing how paranoid and frightened he was then to travel without magic as a crutch to lean on.

Maybe her powers were involved with the making of the hat, so her powers are necessary for Rumple to get ultimate control over it?

He didn’t actually confirm that she was right, so I’m not convinced she was.
November 10, 2014 at 10:10 am #289633KebParticipantI don’t think that really is his goal. That’s what DQ assumed his goal would be, but I do think she’s right with the “everything” comment: He wants his power and his love. That’s a lot right there.
I love the theory that he needs Blue, and I absolutely agree that it would fit with his character to react that way to the idea. But since they haven’t even mentioned Blue this season, I dunno if they’d go that direction…it would be rather out of the (ahem) blue.

November 10, 2014 at 10:23 am #289634KebParticipantDQ: What you want is out there. Everything I want is in here. Do what you want with the rest of the world.
That doesn’t say he wants world domination–just that what he wants is beyond Storybrooke.
And if what he wants is to either have maximum power or to get Bae back, that makes sense.
