What do you think about Rumple?

My favorite scenes have become those with just Charming and Rumple. Those two light up the screen. I hope we have more of it in Season 2 now that David is Charming again.

I just want to see a scene where Charming sees Gold and Belle for the first time. I’ve wrote this before, but I can just picture Charming remembering back to the “brief flicker of light” conversation and just saying “Her?” in astonishment whilst Mr. Gold shrugs his shoulder in agreement. No need for long conversations. Charming doesn’t even have to say “Her?” It could just be a raising of his eyebrows. I just want to see them together in a scene again.

ARC and Josh Dallas seem to have a great sort of friendship / bromance going. I think they really enjoy filming scenes together. I found this picture on Josh Dallas’ twitter.

I think Rumpel’s an interesting, dark character who nicely adds both drama and comedy. But I don’t love the character over most of the others or feel sorry for him or want him redeemed or anything like that. I don’t care for any of the ‘ships involving him and pretty much feel his character’s best role is adding conflict so I’d be kinda annoyed if he becomes a goodie for any length of time.

Ditto for Snow and Emma –their concept of who Gold is (and Snow’s memory of who Rumple was) will be altered when they see he’s in love and is loved, and by such a strong gal. Snow probably has never thought of Rumple as a human, and Emma has probably never thought of Gold as a guy with a heart, so it ‘ll be interesting. I can imagine Snow saying something like, “Mr. Gold! You old softie!” and Emma giving Gold a “way to go, Gold!”
