Could Zelena be trying to seek out True Love and her comment to Rumple about how whatever it was was against his nature be a misjudgement on her part? Afterall a Dark One finding true love wouldn’t seem likely?

Just rewatching the episode, and the answer to this was in the episode all along. It’s courage. What Rumple spent a lifetime seeking and was against his nature and Zelena couldn’t afford to wait that long for, it was courage, which Zelena stole from Charming in the episode.
