I think in some ways, Regina held Emma up to a much higher standard. Emma is the Savior after all. Knowing that the Savior could do something that is almost akin to what Cora did strikes a nerve in Regina. Now, I agree that Regina has done some fairly terrible things and that her moral highground is insanely shaky but I think it’s a heady combo of being Henry AND the deed being similar to what Cora did to her.

Now give poor Violet back her heart, Swan!

The ep would have benefitted from a quick scene of Emma *poofing* into Violet’s room while she was sleeping and popping her heart back in. She’s obviously got it back if she’s making eyes at Henry in SB now.

I can’t really fault her for doing it. It was obvious when she took Violet’s heart that she wasn’t super thrilled to be doing it, she was almost in tears, and clearly didn’t take it lightly. Desperate times, desperate souls, desperate measures.

I don’t have a lot to say in response. Basically, nearly every parent has hurt his or her kid at some point, whether it was making him feel crazy or abandoning him. Torn parent/child relationships is how this show operates.

I mean, couldn’t she simply have asked Violet to cooperate first,  and then taken her heart if she refused?

Then again, even if Violet had initially agreed, there was no guarantee she’d actually go through with it…

    Good point.

    As a side note…

Perhaps one of the reasons why Emma took everyone’s memories and put them in the dream catchers was not only to prevent Henry from finding out what Emma did, but also to give he and Violet another chance at friendship.
