I’m just wondering, we see the wolf with the red and black eye, in both FTL and Storybrooke, and he was seen by Graham and Emma. Did his storyline just die with Graham, or is he supposed to represent something/someone? Any theories? Ideas?
I also wondered about him. I hope he wasn’t just linked too Graham, but it could be, since I think he was molded after the native american idea of spirit dogs/wolfs with the two different coloured eyes. So he could just have represented Grahams soul in a way.
But I hope he is something more. It was also him that prevented Emma from leaving Storybrook in one of the first episodes, when she chrashed her car trying not to hit the wolf in the middle of the road.
He could be like a guide a spirit helper. Like there are helper animals in many old fairytales and folklore, but it has been so long since we saw him last. #ยค””#%& writers!! if they threw him of the show…..
Maybe he chased the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland over the town line :p
Who knows, maybe the wolf will make Neal crash his car too if /when he comes to SB.
Maybe it’s Ruby’s friend ;P
At first I thought it was like a guardian spirit sort of. But then Emma saw it too so the wolf is real. Then he might be somewhere in the Forrest. But then mr Gold said there is no wolf in SB. So it’s a plot hole…
I still believe that there were two different wolves in season 1. I think the wolf in the Pilot w/o the red and black eye that forced Emma off the road is a different wolf.
Oh that one didn’t have a red and a black eye ??
No, it didn’t, but it was the pilot, so maybe it was supposed to be the same wolf …
Thats true.
Also those colors goes well with lots of symbolic things in the story. Like Snow White(s ebony black hair) and Rose Red– Red apples– Red hearts–Black souls– Red riding hood–Two sides of a chess game….
Wolf could be a symbol of nature, where the opposites are balanced together.
White, black and red were also recurring themes in Lost.
