Mr. Gold/Rumpel truly thought Belle was dead
Belle didn’t remember FTL
What Rumpel loves most is power
Mr. Gold is still working his own agenda
Mr. Gold knew Henry would be okay, so has he regained his ability to see outcomes?
Malificent was trapped in the mines and Mr. Gold knew it.
Rumpelstiltskin gave PC new clothes for free. I suppose because he is invested in his future too:)
True loves kiss, given by a mother, is powerful.
Jefferson is a scary, manipulating psychotic. He is not to be underestimated.
The huntsman gave up his heart to save Snow.
There is an infinite forest! Did anyone else think True North — Hansel and Gretel with the overview?
Rumpelstiltskin is a fair swordsman.
I love Prince Charming.

I do not think Rumpel knew that Henry would be okay. I don’t think he cared at all about Henry only about regaining his magic and leaving town.

Ah, for once I disagree, hjbau, my forum friend. We so seldom disagree. But on this one, I think Mr. Gold’s confidence in knowing the outcomes has increased with the life of the show this season, and I do think he knew Henry would be okay, I don’t think he just said that to lie. I mean why say anything at all, once he had the potion? He knew before Emma walked into his shop what she and Regina were there for. He had the sword ready. I am interested to re-watch them all during the hiatus, knowing what we know now. I think it provide some alternate perspectives. 🙂

I, too, think Gold knew without a doubt that Henry was going to be fine. One thing I’ve noticed is that Rumple/Gold never lies. He manipulates, schemes, is underhanded, but he doesn’t lie. He assured Emma her boy would be fine and he was cured in the end. Gold just knows things. I do think though he has to patch things up, as much as he can, with Emma. She still owes him a favor and he needs an ally in Storybrooke, even if it’s a grudging one.

If Belle didn’t remember, why then did she need to be locked up? It made sense in the beginning if she remembered, or at least a partial memory…

Or Regina was just, no one has a happy ending but me. That means, locking away Belle and keeping her from Gold.

She probably didn’t want to run the risk of her and Gold having a connection and maybe Gold remembering. She probably also wasn’t trusting Rumpel to definitely not have some loophole for himself to remember. Might also be something in reserve just in-case something went wrong like they did.

Also true love can break any curse. She is not a fan of true love either, since she lost hers. So, I just assumed keeping them apart was part of the curse. She obviously confirmed how Mr. Gold felt about her with the little jail scene and chipped cup. It wasn’t just about finding out if he remembered who he was.

I was a fan of the Belle remembered theory too, until we saw she didn’t remember in the finale until the rainbow from true love’s kiss (Emma and Henry) hit her.

Also I have rewatched Skin Deep enough times to realize that the cloth was off the mirror in Rumpel’s castle when he threw Belle back in the dungeon and smashed all the dishes except the chipped cup.
I wonder if she can hear what’s going on when a mirror is covered or can she only see?

Every time I see that end scene in Skin Deep where she tells him Belle is dead then walks out and says you need a new girl I just want to smack her. If I ever start feeling sorry for Regina, I just go back and watch that scene and all sympathy goes away 😆

Regina can hear through the mirror it seems like because Snow and Charming talked to each other through the mirror and Regina talked to Snow through the mirror. Also Regina heard what Red and Grumpy said when they all found Snow’s “body” after she ate the apple.
