Yeah I know..well if he is Bae I hope there’s a twist to it (I mean there has to be) like he’s Bae + the white rabbit
I think MRJ might be in character but I don’t know if Jen’s is because really being all smiles the first time she sees him? It doesn’t fit

Although I came to love it afterwards, at first before I knew for sure that August was definitely going to be Pinocchio and not Baelfire, I had so many Bae and Rumple feels after “Desperate Souls” that I really wanted things not be too complicated and angst filled for them especially Bae. Of course, I knew it wouldn’t be a show without that, so then after the August reveal, I was like, “if Bae’s not August, then there’s only one person he can really be and that’s Henry’s dad.” Of course, that made sense with the clues that the producers were giving about Henry’s dad, so then I was really, really hoping that there was just some kind of misunderstanding between Emma and Bae, which it turned out there was thankfully. Shortly after, I became a full blown shipper because I realized that out of all the characters on the show they’ve had the crappiest lives, and I think they deserve their happy ending together. Plus, I came to love the symmetry of how Rumple created the Curse because of Baelfire, and Emma was the one to break it. And how even though Bae probably won’t and maybe shouldn’t forgive Rumple ever for the Curse and everything else, if not for that other stuff, then he would have never met Emma, who I believe is his true love and vice versa.
Are you sure the pics aren’t pics of the actors before they are ‘in character’ or what not?
That makes sense. Although I love Lil’ Red’s theory that Emma works her bailbondswoman mojo again and ends up knocking Neal out and taking him back to Storybrooke with her.
I’m kind of hoping he’s not the white rabbit as well, but i have no good reason for that except I kind think that Nealfire has enough in his life without giving him another FTL identity to go along with it.
I’m kind of thinking the same about the pics..or maybe this happens AFTER the big blow up and they are going to sit down and talk. Or maybe Emma’s just putting on a show because they are in public or she doesn’t know the person she’s meeting is Neal…

One of the many reasons i like SwanFire is because I think it will be the only chance Rumple has at growth. He’s not emphatic at all and the only way he cares about the damage he’s done is when it hurts someone close to him. With the shear amount of damage the curse has done to Bae (giving up Emma, Henry) will be the only thing to make him think twice.
I’m kind of glad that they’re smiling in the pic. it gives me hope for them and considering how much time I just spent typing up a spew on Tumbalr about why I can’t ship CaptainSwan or Wooden Swan more then them… yeah, they need a happy ending even if it’s a bit off in the distance.

Yes, I think that him being Neal and Baelfire is enough, but I’m trying to keep an open mind in case he does turn out to be Peter Pan plus other characters too.

Yes, I know after last season when Belle returned, some people were upset because if Rumple got Bae back too, he wouldn’t really have to pay at all for anything that he’s done. I agree with that, but I admit that because of Robert Carlyle’s portrayal and Rumple’s back story, it makes it hard for me at times to be rational about Rumple. Later I realize that it’s not okay for him to just get back Belle and Bae without any real struggle, but sometimes my head gets a bit foggy, and I just want to make everything okay for him.

Me to, me to. I’m just really hoping he’s not Peter. The personalities are just too different. and i’m really attached to the idea the Hook is peter too.

That’s the biggest reason I didn’t want Bae to be a kid still. it would make things too easy for Rumple. I really hope they don’t brush over the Nealfire/Belle relationship. I think they would be friends even if Neal can’t stand to be around Gold.

Aww thank you. So many people want to ship based on their own wants and fantasies but if you actually listen to the characters, they say something different sometimes.

If it hadn’t been for Rumple breaking his deal with his son, Rumple and Bae would’ve died from old age in our world, Rumple never would’ve created the curse, and Bae never would’ve met or fallen in love with Emma, who was born 250 years later in the EF, and Henry never would’ve existed. So, at least for a drama-packed series, I owe a lot of thanks to Rumple’s cowardice.

Bae is more like his father than he realizes.
When he had no options, his back was against the wall, he turned to magic, just like his father did.
He did it out of love, to save his family, again, just like his father did.
He gave up his world for the next.
If he is PP (which, I think he is), and traveled between wrolds (using magic) –

If Neal is Bae (and I think he is), maybe losing Emma (and ultimately, Henry) was his price.
True, but if Neal is Baelfire, he’ll probably make the argument that if it hadn’t been for his dad’s curse, he and Emma would have been free to live a life. Tha she would never have been forced to be seperated from her parents. That she would never have had to suffer 17 years before she met up with him, and 11 years later when they were seperated. 🙂
One thing I loved about Neal was his first confrontation with August–he knows Emma suffered. He said August did a horrible job of watching her. He says that they protected each other. He and Emma bondd because of how alone and scared they both felt. they were comfort to each other. And just like that, that is all ripped away because of someone (if he is Baefire) he thought he would never see again.

I'm wondering if this is modern day scene or could it be a flash-back of Emma tracking down Neal after she got out of jail? There have been hints about Emma's having a bad experience with a married man…and I'm wondering if that is Neal…either he was really married or he could have lied and said that he was married. The real life Neal Cassady got two women pregnant at the same time…and was accused of being a bigamist. She was in Talahassee for two years…could she have been looking for him…waiting for him? (It looks like he is wearing a black hoodie)
