Ack! I thought the scarf looked out of place. I would have never realized that it was Baelfire's cloak.
Gold's face just breaks my heart! He's got that Puss in Boots look in that pic.

It’s evening on the 21st here in Oz right now, and I can safely say it was an utterly disappointing apocalypse. Not a single zombie in sight. I feel a tad ripped off. *sigh*

Well, I keep wondering how many people who fell for the 21st apocalypse decided to “live it up”, and bought into those no payments, no interest until 2013 deals for furniture and appliances. If a lot of people did, then I’ll bet they are in a world of regret at the moment.
December 21, 2012 at 4:14 pm #165800faux paxParticipantGuys! I found more good stuff. It looks like Neal might have been in Storybrooke before
One thing’s for sure: Regina probably won’t be happy when yet another parent appears out of nowhere to vie for Henry’s love. “I think she’s going to be very surprised when she learns who the father is,” Parrilla teased. Interesting! Might Regina have encountered Neal before? “Possibly,” she added, a sly gleam in her eye. – Yahoo News

I wouldn't be surprised if Neal visited Storybrooke at some point. Given the fact that he started working with August after he separated from Emma, I think the possibility of him visiting Storybrooke during the curse is very possible.
December 21, 2012 at 6:33 pm #165815lilredParticipantSince August went off to ‘Pleasure Island’ for 10 years – I’m not thinking he and Neal were working closely together. But do think Neal was working behind the scenes somehow. And might be involved with putting the book in Mary Margaret’s apartment. He is a sneaky thief! Could see him doing it undetected.
I think the quote, “she’s going to be very surprised what she learns who the father is…” is probably more related to him being Rumple’s son. Finding out that the son she loves and has raised is Rumpelstiltskin’s grandson – I’m actually going to love seeing Regina’s reaction to this! 😆
If Neal did any combination of writing/dropping off the book in Storybrooke – It’s really no wonder he knew to give it to MM. I bet the moment he saw her, he realized this was Emma’s mother. But, I guess this brings up the question of did he know about Henry?
Really hoping he didn’t, that heading into Storybrooke was just to satisfy some curiosity or impatience. Then maybe he saw Henry and felt some kind of spark, followed him around – and Regina confronts him and tells him to back off (wouldn’t be amazed if that was all to the encounter).
The writers/creators did say at some point we’ll see what life was like in Storybrooke before Emma came to town: this could be an epic Bae-centered episode. Maybe he even had a run-in with Gold before he got his memories back. I’m sure Gold was a complete charmer 🙄 so that may explain why Neal didn’t come to town when the curse was broken and decided to go down the fire escape…

I posted this on another thread in response to Faux Pax’s fantastic detective work and thought I’d post it here as well.
Or, it could mean that she met him sometime before the curse. If the theory that he's Peter Pan pans out (gosh I like saying that ) then perhaps she met him in the EF or in Neverland. They've already shown her meeting Hook in the EF so why not Bae/Peter? Maybe Hook told her about Peter and she realm jumped over to Neverland. Only saying this because we do see Hook along with Smee who is holding young Bae's cloak. Now there are pictures of Gold with the same cloak wrapped around his neck. So it certainly seems clear to me that many people had knowledge of Bae/Peter's whereabouts and kept it from Rumple.

There is such a thing as internet and I think it’s entirely possible that they were working with each other long distance. In the “two months later” portion of Tallahassee, August asks Neal “Where have you been?” That line just kind of makes it seem like they have been working together or at least supposed to be in contact more then they were.
I have this pet theory that maybe Nealfire was the Illustrator of the book and August wrote it. Them mentioning that August was a writer was a very specific clue and the fact that it hasn’t really shown up again makes me think there was more to that then just a throw away reference (is there any such thing in OUAT?). Also they made it kind of clear that Milah was a talented artist and that these kind of things can run in families, makes in possible in my mind that Bae has her talent. That and the fact that Rumple’s drawing of Bae is too good for someone without talent and not quite accurate enough to be done by magic (self-portrait made at his father’s behest, perhaps?)
I really want him and August to work together for two main reasons: first reason is that there is a serious lack of bromances in the show and I think I would like the Lousy friend dynamic of Neal and August. Second, I think it would make finding out that August kept the money all the worse for Neal; another betrayal from someone he trusted and If they had been working together for over a decade and August knew about Henry on top of it all…
I think the quote, “she’s going to be very surprised what she learns who the father is…” is probably more related to him being Rumple’s son. Finding out that the son she loves and has raised is Rumpelstiltskin’s grandson – I’m actually going to love seeing Regina’s reaction to this! 😆
And that had been one of the biggest reasons i’m behind Swanfire. Rumple’s reaction to just how much his curse had cost Bae and the fact that it was him that gave Henry to Regina. Regina’s reaction is bound to be just as good. When the truth of it comes out, Rumple and Regina’s power plays are going to have to be a lot seeker. They wouldn’t be able to tug at each other openly without catching Henry in the middle of it. But I would like to see Regina throw some of this in Gold’s face, because face it, there’s no way she won’t.

I really hope Neal didn’t know. That would just make him seem like such a Jerk and I was impressed with the way the writers made him passably seem like a bad guy to Emma without turning him into an actual Jerk. If he knew about Henry that would undo all that AND make Emma think even more then she is bound to already, that it was all a set up and that Neal didn’t really care about her.

I would love to see a little pre-emma tension between Gold and Neal and a token encounter between Neal and Henry would be so heartbreaking.
What i think’s going to happen is this:
Emma, Henry, and Gold all go looking for Bae. Neal sees them when he's on the fire escape and takes off and Emma follows him. When she catches him, she's surprised to learn to Neal is Bae. Neal takes her out for drinks so that he can explain everything.
I just kind of think it would be cool if, as Neal tells the story we see the little Bae in our world as that episode's flashbacks… and i know i’m not the only one who wants to see Dylan back.
December 21, 2012 at 8:39 pm #165831tiara_roseParticipantWe want Dylan and not only on a hidden picture. 😉
