I don’t know if I’m glad Neal turned out to be…completely good. LOL. On one hand, it means that there’s a chance for Emma and Neal to reconnect after/if he shows up in Storybrooke (and a chance for Henry to have a father!) But on the other…the fact that he really loved Emma just makes their break-up all the more painful. I find it really sad that he didn’t know she was pregnant.
Lil’Red, I will stand with you in that delusion. How else would it make sense? Did August have a pet dragon in that box? A ogre head? WHAT
[adrotate group="5"]November 5, 2012 at 2:50 am #159475lilredParticipantAt least I’m not alone in my delusion of reality! 😀
Even the dreamcatcher thing had me thinking about Bae. First, really had no idea what it was (like a person who came into our world as a teenager, not a child might!) and then the hint that he has bad dreams (like I’m sure Bae has!)…and longing for a home. I know these could fit a lot of broken people – but it’s so like I’ve imagined an adult Bae!
Feel really sorry for this guy. Bae never seemed to catch a break in life (mother left, war, father becomes the dark one, trapped in a world alone)…If he is Bae, Bae is the most unlucky character!
Can’t wait for ‘Neal’ to come to town looking for Emma and meet Henry!
November 5, 2012 at 2:52 am #159476elleParticipantI have to say that I loved the two of them together. 🙂 They were sweet and touching–I had been ready to go along with the theory that he had adandoned her because he was simply a horrible person. It was his way of protecting her, of course, but I am glad there is more to it than that.
Also, I don’t think I can picture Emma being with anybody but him–seriously, he was the one (the only one who was not family) that put her first because he loved her, and not because she was The Savior or because she had magic.
That said, I do think he might be Baelfire–August might have shown Neal a picture of Rumpelstiltskin’s dagger. He had one with him before.

This!
I’m probably lucky I didn’t have any other ships for Emma because these two NEED to be together. IMHO, she is clearly still in love with him and I’m going to say vice versa. I don’t think I could even watch the two of them try to date other people at this point (which is what I was expecting for awhile with Swanfire being end game).
Nope, no casual dating for them! They need to get back together, enjoy their awesome son, and have many more children like ASAP….or as soon as this ‘final battle’ is out of the way.
Can anyone now see either’s ‘happily ever after’ not linking back to each other?

Yeah, I can’t see an adult male in our world reacting like that to ‘do you believe in magic?’ Plus, really understanding that he can’t be in the person he loves life because of a curse her destiny is to break – that isn’t something any man I’ve dated would just nod and accept! Full circle, if August’s story included Rumpelstiltskin’s part (but he probably just believes it was Regina – right?) I can see Bae knowing he needs to do the honorable thing so it’s broken.
He’s Bae! I may be delusional at this point but that’s still what I see.
Maybe you should start a new thread asking “if anyone is still alive after watching this episode?” I really didn’t need my heart anymore OUaT writers. 😥
Yes, he’s got to be Bae. I believe that more than ever because Bae always has the worst luck. Plus, there were clues in the episode pointing towards him being Bae which hopefully I can remember if I can pull myself together again.
I have a feeling I will be visiting is the Blue Fairy behind everything thread a lot lately after tonight’s episode. (Effing Blue Fairy!!! And Effing August!!!)
November 5, 2012 at 3:33 am #159488naomiParticipantAgreed. I know a lot of people are shipping Emma and Capt. Hook, and I can sort of understand that because Hook is a wonderfully snarky villain and downright one of the most hilarious and entertaining characters on this show.
But, I feel Neal and Emma have to be endgame. They just have to! Maybe it would have been OK if Neal was a murderous criminal, or was married, or if he had lied to her about being a thief, etc. but after watching the episode and seeing that he was really sincere and honest…it breaks my heart.
Feel really sorry for this guy. Bae never seemed to catch a break in life (mother left, war, father becomes the dark one, trapped in a world alone)…
^^^ Bae is definitely the producers’ punching bag. If I could attend one of public conferences the writers go to (like Comicon or Paleyfest) I would wear a shirt that says STOP HURTING HIM. Lol.
ETA: I just realized that Emma spent two years in Tallahassee after she left prison. She was probably still waiting for Neal.
Yup. There goes my heart.

I am glad I am not the only one that supports them together. 🙂 A lot of people after this episode have been supporting Captain Hook and Emma together, which I didn’t see happening. The whole time he flirted with her, she seemed pretty dismissive of him and not at all interested. Not to mention that she never once trusted him.
Neal and Emma were truly in love–Emma has never said, “I love you,” to anyone other than him. The way she looked at Neal was with love, adoration, hope, and expectants. She wanted and future with him, and he wants one with her. 🙂
November 5, 2012 at 3:48 am #159495tinkerbellreturnsParticipantGuys, it’s almost 2 in the morning here in my town, and I really need to get some sleep.
BUT I couldn’t do that before dropping by to say:
YAY! *group hug*
Highlights:
1) Neal’s dreamcatcher
2) Neal’s closing his eyes (so much hurt) when he realized the curse was for reals and he would have to let Emma go because —> pure speculation from now on, bear with me!
> his dad had done something awful (I take it that August showed him the picture of the Dark One’s dagger)
3) He loves her. She loves him. 😥
4) He doesn’t know about Henry. If he turns out to be Bae, then poor guy is likely to have a heart attack when he gets to SB?“So, who is that talking to my father? My stepmother? Oh, I see. And the guy yelling at him? My father-in-law? What the–? Ok, nevermind, what about the kid?” —-> “My WHAT?” *drops dead*
ETA: Lil’Red: I LOVE YOUR SHELDON GIF! That was me during most of this episode! 😆
November 5, 2012 at 4:10 am #159502lilredParticipantI’m starting a club: Hugs for Baelfire! Might even make a list of members on the first post of this thread (or do I need to calm down and wait for Bae-Neal confirmation?)
We might also need to start raising money for the therapy sessions – not sure if they’ll be for us or for him yet. 😆I just realized that Emma spent two years in Tallahassee after she left prison. She was probably still waiting for Neal.
😥 That might be all my heart can take tonight! But so true! She made his gift into a necklace she always wears, kept his car – I bet she tried to track him down and waited for him in Tallahassee. So – why did she tell Henry she has nothing to remember him by? Is it just too painful to talk about it since she’s never found him but also never let go?
November 5, 2012 at 4:11 am #159503faux paxParticipantDo you guys realize just how impossible it was for me not to scream while watching this epp? My roomates already think i’m crazy so i had to use breathing exercises to stop the feels from escaping.
4) He doesn’t know about Henry. If he turns out to be Bae, then poor guy is likely to have a heart attack when he gets to SB?1) I wonder if his bad dreams had something to do with Henry and Aurura’s or if it was a product of his dad abandoning him. I’m thinking it’s the latter. The other two were both under a sleeping curse with is the only connection i see but Bae had a lot of nightmare fuel in his life (i mean really, has anyone else seen his letter from untold stories? i rest my case)
2) Even if Augest didn’t know he was Bae, I think he would have to included that Rumple was the one to design the curse. I think that’s the only way Bae would have let her go. I mean no matter how much he believed in magic, it would take a lot for a guy to betray the girl he loves like that and get her sent to prison. If he knew that it all started with Rumple he would know what it was all about and he would do the brave and responsible thing and sacrifice his happiness to clean up his fathers mess.
3) Which makes it all the more tragic.
4) I could see him figuring it out pretty soon after he got there and not saying anything until Emma got back. I could see him getting into one helluva fight with August, because obviously Augeust knew more then he let on. I kind of have this mental picture of Neal confronting Emma and going “alright emma, if you don’t want me to say anything, i won’t” all dejected like because he knows that he’s the one that screwed up, even if it were for good intentions. And Emma almost breaking because of how hurt he is.P.S. Lil’Red, i stole your GIF.
