It has started! 😆
[adrotate group="5"]February 11, 2013 at 12:50 pm #172450mich7Participantlol with that take down Emma should play professional football…ABC at least tried to hide who it was…it’s obvious it’s Neal especially when she says “No”…I mean who else is she going to know in our world that’s going to bring such a shock.
on the Tamara thing…I’ve been thinking..she may just be a friend like Morraine was…I remember Jennifer Morrison saying that it would be up to Neal whether he wanted to come back to Storybrook and pick up where things left off. He might be hesitant to go even for Henry and Emma if he finds out magic is there since he has such an aversion to it…he might want them to stay with him in New York. Sort of like the PC/Snow controversy right now with either going to FTL or staying in our world. He may need someone to talk to (to convince him to go) and since Tamara’s description says she’s someone who doesn’t stop until she gets what she wants she may convince Neal to go after what he wants.
Would kind of make sense that it is in Selfless, brave and True we’d see her and Neal meet since that is also the episode some people have speculated that the Asian healer may be a guide or instructor to Mulan or August (Phuket). We get to see the people that help each of these people along their path.
I mean they did this with Dreamy, with Belle helping him to understand about Nova and with Grumpy doing the same for her in The Outsider by convincing her to follow her dreams. But they can’t use FTL characters for those that grew up in the real world…so they would naturally have to cast someone new.
If this pans out it might also mean that we’ll see Tamara at the beginning of the Queen is Dead where she is actually introduced before Emma and company return to Storybrook so she can help Neal make the decision to go. I hope it’s more along these lines and not the other.
February 11, 2013 at 6:00 pm #172533lilredParticipantI like that idea about Tamara being a friend- for August and/or Neal. I was rewatching this American show called Veronica Mars last month and – if anyone’s a fan- was struck by the friendship between Veronica and her best (male) friend Wallace. They’re each other’s pillars for seasons but it never goes into a romantic realm. How many times do shows have two, straight men and women that are devoted to each other but not have an undercoating of sexual tension? It’d be kind of nice to see! We kind of have it with Ruby and David – I think they tried with Mulan and Phillip but then had to add suspicious girlfriend to sexualize it.
Really want Emma to have a best friend like Wallace – either from Anton or August. Or maybe even Neal down the line…never mind! Those two will always have a ‘sex’ connection…even if they both end up with other people and start a friendship years later – I think the ‘I love you’s’ might dampen that dynamic! 😆
Funny thing about the promo – both my mother and roommate managed to figure out the figure was Neal and are now freaking out that he’s Baelfire. Both are just casual fans and don’t search for spoilers online. 😆
There has to be a big shocker this episode, and I’m still thinking about the seer and possible prophecy – whatever it is, I’m thinking it will be a game changer (which Anton’s bean sprout was last night for me! OPENS UP SO MANY OPTIONS!) I’m expecting the general reactions of fans next week to be, “Oh, so Henry’s dad is Rumpelstiltskin’s son……WAIT! WHAT IS GOING ON OVER THERE!!!!!???” Manhattan was written by Adam and Eddy – really doubt we’ll be disappointed. 😀

While I do think that the big bombshell is probably supposed to be about Nealfire, I do hope that there’s a big twist or big twists involving the Seer that ties in with where the series is going because the future battle that the producers talk about is still very vague. While I don’t expect them to reveal everything to soon, it would be nice if we finally got some kind of direction on how the story is headed there.
February 11, 2013 at 6:12 pm #172539mich7ParticipantI’m kind of hoping Tamara is only a friend as well…MRJ is only a recurring character…he said that he would possibly be back next season if scheduling permitted it… I would hate to go the entire second half of the season without any Swanfire(I guess Swanthief is laid to rest since it’s obvious that he is Bae) because they gave him a girlfriend and then Neal not return next year due to scheduling conflicts.

I think they started some of that last night with the talk about the magic beans being a part of Cora’s plan…it’s slowly starting to be revealed…but your right about needing direction. If you asked someone about what season one was about almost everyone would say…breaking the curse…ask about season 2 and you get a dozen different answers. Just need something a little more concrete about the overall plan.

Yeah, a final battle is supposedly beginning. Would be nice to know more about what it’s about? Against? Since this episode is probably going to have a big reveal that they’ve been working towards for – probably the start of the show, they should at least start the next major arch.
Thought I’d pass this along if anyone’s interested. A site that got to see the rough screening of Manhattan is going to be teasing about the episode – they promise no major spoilers!

Kind of excited to see them just jump into the reveal (without holding it over our heads the whole episode…which I was kind of expecting) and then use the episode to develop some characters and reveal new parts of the puzzle. 😀February 11, 2013 at 8:45 pm #172590mich7Participant@Lil’Red wrote:

Thanks for the link.

Kind of in overload right now. I’m amazed this isn’t going to be a special, two hour episode based on everything it is including! 😀
February 12, 2013 at 5:57 pm #172743schmackyParticipantThere’s so much stuff going on in this episode I’m slightly nervous that it’s all going to go too fast.
This show really loves to plow through plot and breakthroughs without pausing for character moments.
However, this makes me feel better and I’m really excited about it:
“Jennifer Morrison will get the possibility of really stretching her acting skills more than ever before”
Because… I’ve been waiting for this moment forever. How is she going to react? It could so totally go all sorts of ways. But no matter what, it’s going to be dramatic and emotional and I am so looking forward to that.
