Peter Pan, Alice, the Wizard of Oz, Tinkerbelle, Aladdin and Jasmine, Jafar and Ursula. 🙂

Oooh I would LOVE to see Pied Piper.
That would be awesome. I do wonder if Rumple’s stopping the war and leading the children home was supposed to be a Pied Piper reference, though?
I’d love to see the Little Mermaid, though not necessarily Ariel. The Hans Christian Anderson tale is striking to me because it deals with true, albeit unrequited love and if they go with the fairytale, I hope they retain that aspect rather than having the prince fall in love with the mermaid. In the original, she is genuinely and more importantly sacrificially in love with the prince, who is genuinely in love with another woman. This show hasn’t really touched on the idea that some form of true loves can be unrequited and genuine at the same time and that would be a fascinating angle to explore, however they choose to go about doing that. (I guess Kathryn’s storyline had hints of this, but that was underscored by her having Fredrick and simply not remembering him due to the curse.)
Adding Oz will be interesting as far as what they do with the Wicked Witch of the West. We’re so used to Wicked that it would be strange to see her as a wholly evil character. That said, I’m pretty sure they won’t introduce a misunderstood character, especially if Whale turns out to be the Wizard.
Oh wow, you could be totally right beautyistruth, about the Rumple thing. It’d be a very subtle reference, but it makes sense, and it’s kind of awesome to think that’s true ngl.
Somebody on another forum pointed out that there was an episode last year in which we saw the names “Bert” and “Mary” written on the board in MM’s classroom. Those are the first names of the characters played by Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews in Disney’s Mary Poppins and 2014 will be the 50th anniversary of the release of the movie. I think it would be great if they did a Mary Poppins episode, especially if they could get a cameo appearance by Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke for the 50th anniversary!
I see in the news today that Disney just bought LucasFilm and announced they plan to make more Star Wars movies. Will it be long before we see Princess Leia in Storybrooke? (I have this image of Leia taking out Aurora with a blaster!)
Oh, boy. Rumple and Vader could simultaneously force choke each other 😀
Oh my gosh. All these Star Wars references are killing me right now! 😆 😆 😆
I’d like to see the North Wind. One of my favourite books growing up was At the Back of the North Wind by George MacDonald. It was the story of a little boy named Diamond and his relationship with the North Wind who disguised herself as a beautiful woman & would visit him in this little room above the stables. Sad story and it made me cry as a child. George MacDonald also wrote classics like The Princess and the Goblin, The Light Princess, Curdie and the Princess, etc. That’s where I took my name from, his book The Golden Key.
Keeper of Pandora's Box & The Yellow Brick Road.
The tale of Sleepy Hallow has always been one of my favorites. And I wouldn’t mind seeing the Wizard of Oz or the Phantom of the Opera either. 😀
I’d love to see Tristan and Isolde in here. I do hope they get their happy ending, though. And now that we’ve established a gothic Victorian world, I’d love to bring more of those characters in. My top choices are Dorian Grey, Dracula, Sweeney Todd, and Jekyll/Hyde.
^SWEENEY TODD! Sweet Jesus, I need this in my life so bad right now! 😯
