Since I am hoping the show will last a long time and I am hoping the relationship between all the fairytale characters will be revealed to be delightfully complicated and layered there are a lot of characters I want to see. I want them to start with the stories we already have and then expand on the worlds they have already visited. So first I want to see the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty, and Tinkerbell, characters that I think they could easily tie into the story. Then I want to see Peter Pan and I am hoping Ariel will wind up being one of the mermaids at Neverland. I also want to King Triton, Prince Eric, Ursula, Sebastian, and Flounder. Then eventually all the Disney princesses and their supporting characters. Especially Mushu and Shang. I would love to see Jack Sparrow and Skelllington though only if Depp is willing to play the former. I want to meet Alice, Dracula, and Dorothy and crew from oz. At least those are the ones I most want to meet from other worlds…There are alot more but I will keep it to these for now…

Johnny Appleseed (Jonathan Chapman) (September 26, 1774 – March 18, 1845), was an American pioneer nurseryman who introduced apple trees to large parts of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois, including the northern counties of present day West Virginia.
But YES I would like to see him too… but he is more of a historical figure since he actually existed and was not a figment of someone’s imagination.

I have been thinking that the “worlds” in which develop are actually the results of an author’s imagination… those who read the literature and then the world develops and transforms…. evolving into the worlds we now know as ENCHANTED FOREST, WONDERLAND, GOTHIC, OZ etc. The idea must first spring forth from the minds of the story tellers but it grows into existence when the stories get passed on and on over time.I think Harry Potter, Laura Ingels, Louisa May Allocot etc all have their doorways…. but they probably won’t go into them.

Hercules (Greek Mythology).
I can’t believe no ones mentioned Cheshire Cat! He is my absolute favorite animal-character. He could be such fun in Storybrooke! Another nemesis to Gold/Rumple.December 19, 2012 at 9:02 pm #165476lilredParticipantReally loved the Hans Christian Anderson’s Snow Queen. Would love to see the ONCE version of this story with Kai, Gerda, etc….Bae the reindeer..

My idea is that an author / story teller (oral history) creates a story; as it is repeated or read and expanded in the minds of the readers a land develops and becomes the world based on the story. Greek mythology forms Mt Olympus, OZ becomes a world, Wonderland became a world…. etc, etc. The hall with the doorways is one way to enter the worlds. These worlds develop solid form from the spirit, thoughts and imaginations of the readers. The more beloved or repeated these stories are the stronger and larger the world becomes.
Even now as new stories are told/ written and developed …. new worlds are forming in the universe.
I do not know how to explain it much better than this… I just feel that Enchanted Forest developed over time as the stories are repeated from mother to child, from Nonnie to grandson.

I like that idea!
Not sure I believe it but I like it 😉March 14, 2013 at 10:42 pm #180017wizard55ParticipantApologies if there’s a more recent thread on this topic, I recently sat down and watched the animated version and live action version of the classic children’s book Pippi Longstocking. The character may be a little too new for them to include in the series and I don’t think I could see her as the main character really but I think they should totally make a small reference to her considering in the books and films her father is a sailor/captain more or less And what she and her father are known for is traveling all over the world to wild exotic lands and she tells her stories to everyone. I’d love to see her visiting Neverland and meeting up with the Lost Boys and maybe hook mentioning an annoying little girl with pigtails, or maybe he crossed paths with her father and there was a stolen ship or who knows what plot they could put into the story
