Poll options include:
She manages to redeem herself and lives happily ever after
She sacrifices herself in a heroic act to help the others/make amends for her sins
She chooses the path of evil, and is defeated by the heroes and killed/imprisoned forever
Doesn’t matter to me as long as it’s well-written, believable, etc.I want to see Regina redeemed. I think, this season, she’s made great strides in the present towards her redemption and she does get her happily ever after.

There’s no shortcut after murder. Regina needs to pay for her crimes. She can still experience something like a positive ending, though, through character maturation in the midst of tragedy. Moira Queen (“Arrow”) is a good model of what I mean.

To my mind you don’t introduce a soul mate for her as epic as Robin Hood without happily ever after as the end game.

She needs to redeem herself. Â Such a big deal was made about how she would never be able to fill the void in her heart if she enacted the curse – I think she is proving that is not true by showing that she really does love Henry. Â But I think we need to see that she can overcome that prediction by also finding her own romantic true love and it looks like Robin Hood is going to be a good option! Â It would be a bummer to have her revert to evil.

I completely agree with you ST on this one! If you’re a core character with a soul mate, chances of you dying is slim to none. Besides, Regina is such a huge character that killing her would take forty percent of the show which more than likely are Regals with her. The other forty percent belongs to Rumpelstilskin Dearie/Rumbelle fans. Twenty percent belongs to those Charmings. So sacrificing herself, and become ultimate baddie is ruled out not just for her but for Rumpelstilskin also. Regina will meet and fall in love with Robin Hood, who will definetly help her redeem herself, Henry will either move back home with Regina with Robin Hood and Roland in tow(I wayyyyy prefer!!!!) or he’d move in with Emma and Neal or even Hook(whenever they get their own house!) And to just go ahead and put it out there…deep in our subconscious, we all know who Emma will  choose and be endgame for. So far the endgames are confirmed as RegalHood, Rumbelle, and Charmings….the contest lies between the Swanfire and Captainswans!

Unless Robin Hood becomes evil, I doubt Regina will go back to her old ways. Now she has TWO kids to be a good role model for (Roland and Henry) and becoming evil again just doesn’t seem like its end game for her
