We just found out that the sleeping curse doesn’t just affect people when they’re cursed- they get nightmares afterward.
Snow, Aurora, and Henry all experienced this. But Aurora and Henry both experienced the SAME dream.
When Aurora experienced hers, she said she saw “his” eyes.
When Henry experienced his, he said he saw “her” eyes.Who did they see? What is the room? It kind of reminded me of the inside of Jeff’s hat.
Is Cora somehow behind all of this?[adrotate group="5"]November 5, 2012 at 3:12 am #159481TheGoldenKeyParticipantI believe we just saw how David will communicate with Snow in the other realm. Telepathic messages via Henry and his dreams.
Keeper of Pandora's Box & The Yellow Brick Road.

Exactly what I thought as well.

I’ve got an idea
Dreams are like a “portal” way to look in to fairytale land, because dreams and fairytales ARE related they both interpret something that goes on in human subcontiousness.Thats why Jeff’s hat has all those doors. Its the middle way, between contiouesness/awareness (dont now the exact term for this in english, someone help me !) and the subcontiuosness.

As we’re all aware Snow White appeared to recognize the nightmare Aurora was describing. Snow appeared visibly upset and scared by it. This suggests she encountered the same room in her nightmares after she awoke from her own sleeping curse. Now the big question: why the heck is Henry of all people having this nightmare?
Think back to the end of season 1. Henry eats the poisonous apple, the same one in fact that poisoned Snow, turnover that Regina had made and meant for Emma to eat. Therefore we have 2 of 3 people who have suffered the exact same nightmare being linked by experiencing a sleeping curse from Regina.
By this logic we can gather that Aurora’s sleeping curse was most likely cast by Regina and maybe the red room is some sort of magical limbo your consciousness goes to when you’re under a sleeping curse. It could vary by who casts the curse and this just so happens to be Regina’s version of the room. If not, it might be a general side-effect from suffering a sleeping curse but since we only have a few cases to explore we can’t say for sure.
However this does not explain why Henry seemingly saw Aurora in her nightmare and Aurora saw Henry in hers. I like the idea of it becoming a way for Charming and Snow to communicate between worlds. That is pretty clever and would be very cool.

Oooo, I like that idea!

Now it seems that maybe there really IS some link between magical lands and our real world subconscious. That’s pretty cool!

Well, I’d say that Maleficent is the one who cursed Aurora, but Regina did get that sleeping curse from Maleficent, so Maleficent’s the one who “created” the room. The flames would fit, considering she was a part time, fire breathing dragon.

I hadn’t made that connection until reading your post, and now it seems so obvious I wanna slap myself for having missed it. Guess Snow had no eyes peering at her in her dream then.
November 5, 2012 at 9:42 am #159566eastofthesunParticipantI think you guys are correct and snow and charming will use the sleeping curse red room of limbo hahahah 😆 as a way to communicate between worlds. The red room made me think of Alice in wonderland and the queen of hearts, for a minute i thought it was the room Alice fell down the rabbit hole to, but that room had doors, so it couldn’t be …it is very creepy and interesting, i love how this show always surprises me with unexpected twists like this “dream telepathic connection limbo”
It is very odd that Henry and Aurora are seeing each other..maybe it is because they awoke at the exact same time from their sleeping curses so they are going through the next step together….Maybe all people suffering recovery from a sleeping curse go to this red room
November 5, 2012 at 1:21 pm #159584joleanParticipantwasnt alice in wonderland a dream in the end? doesnt she get woken by her sister or something.. cant remember. its been a long time since I read that story. maybe thats something ??? I dunno just putting it out there 😀
November 5, 2012 at 1:40 pm #159586gypsyParticipantDidn’t Regina get the sleeping curse from Maleficent? She traded the Drak Curse for it…in The Thing You Love Most, Regina went to get the Dark Curse back from Maleficent
