Red room: did anyone else think Twin Peaks’ white lodge for a second?
I know I did. Maybe one of the dwarfs could be the midget. Emma could be Laura. Snow could be Maddie. Neal can be Agent Cooper. I hope we don’t see Bob though. (Sadly the actor died shortly after he was Bob, I believe, but I still get chills just thinking of him when Leland turns into him.)
(Speaking of Twin Peaks, I hated how they sunk Agent Cooper/Audrey even if it made sense because she was 16-17, and he was an FBI agent, but Neal/Emma now join Agent Cooper/Audrey as one of my favorite top 5 tv ships ever only after one episode. Now I know how super Rumbelle fans felt after “Skin Deep”.)
Someone, (sorry I don’t recall who) recently posted on here that perhaps dreams that the writers of the stories in our world had, were how the stories ended up in our world. Now it seems that maybe there really IS some link between magical lands and our real world subconscious. That’s pretty cool!
Yes, I love the idea of dreams being the way that their stories got here in our world.
Who did they see? What is the room? It kind of reminded me of the inside of Jeff’s hat.
Is Cora somehow behind all of this?I’m not sure if Cora is behind it, but I am worried about what’s going on there. While we might get information about other worlds through dreams, the way that the dreams haunted Snow, Aurora, and Henry along with the spoiler about how Charming must put his life in danger to communicate with Snow, makes me think that there's something very ominous going on with these dreams too.
I keep thinking about maybe there's an Original Big Bad or something because it reminds me a lot of Buffy the Vampire's “Restless” where the Scooby Gang all have dreams about the First Slayer, but I got more ominous vibes about the shared dream in OUaT.

Both Henry and Aurora have been under the sleeping curse so there may be a link between them.
Henry may have magic in him what with being the son of Emma. Maybe this dream is a sign of his powers starting to emerge.
All magic comes with a price!

November 5, 2012 at 11:31 pm #159698clockwatcherParticipantIt prevents people from seeing spoilers.
Click on it, and the black disappears so you can read the spoiler the person wrote 🙂November 6, 2012 at 6:47 am #159747GrimmsisterParticipantAh, easy as can be ! much thanks Clockwatcher 🙂

I think the connection that Henry and Aurora are seeing each other is a pretty safe assumption to make. In the dream a room is mentioned with red curtains but now windows or doors. So some how across these two worlds there’s a kind of connection being made. There’s only one place i’ve seen a place that is a link between worlds and has these red curtains. That’s the room Jefferson’s hat takes them too when they’re going between worlds. As to where the doors are maybe since it’s just a dream there are none since there’s no way to physically travel between worlds like that? Or maybe the curse destroyed the doors with those other worlds only leaving the EF which is why there’s fire? I may be completely off but I think that those dreams and that room the hat takes you too are the same room.
November 6, 2012 at 9:39 am #159766PriceofMagicParticipantI just thought and I’m probably wrong but what if the dream is a premonition of sorts. Perhaps Cora takes Henry’s and Aurora’s hearts and the hearts are sat facing one another either in a box or in seperate boxes and the room the heart boxes are in is on fire which threatens to destroy the hearts.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixNovember 6, 2012 at 9:45 am #159767PheeParticipantWonder if this is why they didn’t show Jefferson actually doing any portal jumping last week, because they didn’t want that room to be fresh in everyone’s minds, hoping we wouldn’t instantly make the connection. Nice try, Adam and Eddy. 😛
Surely it can’t be coincidence that both Jefferson’s room of doors and the burning room in the dream are both walled with red curtains. That’s the similarity, but the difference is that Jefferson’s room had connections to all magical lands, but not ours…and the dream room does connect to ours. I don’t think this room in the dreams is a physical place like the room in Jefferson’s hat.
I just did a quick google to see if fire has any connection to the subconscious…it doesn’t…but water is the element associated with the unconscious…water extinguishes fire…there’s gotta be something in this. Maybe the room of fire is a different plane of the subconscious, somewhere we’re not meant to go, so the only ones who end up there are those who sleep due to a curse, instead of sleeping naturally. Maybe there’s another room that’s walled by water instead of flames, and that’s the normal collective subconscious where we all go.
Maybe Charming will have to go to the room of water to contact Snow in the ep, “Into The Deep”?

I’d just like to say that THIS is a beautiful theory.
There have been a lot of awesome theories from, like, EVERYONE, in this thread… But THIS.I also like the idea that this is a premonition. It would be a little creepy… But cool 🙂
As for Charming communicating with Snow like that: that’s a really cool idea! But the writers did say that Charming would need to put his life in danger in order to contact Snow. Is a scary dream enough to put your life in danger?
Does the dream hold the potential to kill you?
Is there something else in the dream that could do so?
Maybe you never wake up from it…?November 6, 2012 at 7:12 pm #159816Killian JonesParticipant@Clockwatcher wrote:

Maybe you never wake up from it…?I have a theory for that iRegina and Rumple have to put David's life in danger right? What if David has to be put under the sleeping curse? The problem with doing that is it has to be broken with true love’s kiss and where’s his true love? So the risk comes with Rumple or Regina being able to break the curse through some other means.
