The only way Belle will be staying in SB longer than the amount of time it takes to cloak the town is if something bad is going on there that she needs to stop. However, will she be able to leave? I’m assuming, even though there’s an antidote, the curse still occurs if you cross the town line, so who says you’ll remember to drink the antidote after you do and lose your memories, or if Blue has any more? Maybe Belle stays in SB studying magic until she can break that curse and go find Rumple. If she can leave, I think something will happen in SB to prevent it, like ex-king George making another power grab or THO somehow getting in (clearly they are not so against magic that they won’t sometimes use it). But I just think that K&H will want to keep her in SB to keep audience interest from completely being off SB, which is why I think they left her there in the first place. (And to keep Rumbelle fans in tension, of course.) Not that I think we’ll spend a lot of time there next season, but maybe the core cast will go back eventually.

Well she wouldn’t lose her memories if she traveled to another world. I think what we’re saying is that she’ll go to either FTL or NL or something, not that she’ll cross the town line.
Considering Adam’s tweets about us being surprised I don’t think Belle was left there just to check in, I think she’s going to have a storyline that has more to do with just running SB. I mean honestly, I don’t think the people of SB are going to NEED Belle. She’s not Rumple or Regina and I don’t see her learning magic so quickly considering it apparently took Cora and Regina months to learn certain spells. If anything Belle will leave and the BF will be left in charge (like she should’ve been in the first place so Belle could go, but whatever lol).
Am I the only one who doesn’t think they’re going to be in NL the whole season? I was thinking it was a first half of the season storyline, and then another arc for the second half like in season 2.I think Belle will be reunited with the JR crew by episode before Xmas break (11 or 12 at this point). But I think she’ll leave SB for FTL by episode 6 to find Nealfire.

Also now after the Charmings, Rumple and Regina are gone, maybe a new villain might see a opportunity to take in action. Like Henry said: We don’t know who else is inside this town.

I can see Belle being more open to magic now that she and Lacey are “both” but I agree with Obisgirl, she’s not going to take it up as a hobby. Also, the books in the library are not just magic books. It’s an actual library wit actual books. If anything, Rumple’s house may have some magic books. Mostly I think Librarian Mayor Queen Belle will go about 6 episodes (and we’ll see her and SB for maybe 3 of those episodes) before she leaves to find Bae.
Several scenes in the library showed they had a lot of books dealing with magic.. I actually did not see any non MAGIC books but I am sure they were there….
