What’s Next for Storybrooke?

With the fail safe destroyed and Rumple’s plot-devicey spell that he gave to Belle (excuse me while I cry forever): what happens now for Storybrooke? Is it safe from the Home Office? Are they still in danger? Who is in charge? What do Belle and Ruby and Granny and the dwarfs do now?

I am guessing the SB storyline will take a backseat next season, once Belle cloaks SB. I think we will see things happening periodically throughout the season, in contrast, but not on a regular basis. A & E are juggling a lot of balls right now since they let SB survive — even my 10 year old commented on that — SB, FTL past, FTL present, and now Neverland. It will be interesting to see how the storylines converge at some point. I really believe Rumple and Belle will be together again, and Neal and Emma will find each other.

I agree, another reason I don’t think it was wise leaving Belle behind. If she had gone we could have not seen SB at all. Now we have to see

SB of the present

It’s a lot. And when they tried multiple locations and times in the first half of S2, a lot of people didn’t like it.

You are assuming Phillip, Aurora, Mulan and Neal are all in FTL. They could be in Neverland for all we know.

BTW, even thought the failsafe is deactivated, it was not destroyed. Regina had it last. Put it in her pocket. Doxcen mentioned in the chat room tonight that perhaps it will be what get’s them back to Storybrooke. I’ll add that it could also be what destroys Neverland or gets them to FTL.

It looked like they took all the magic out of that thing. It looked solid black where before it was purple (the color of dark magic). Black is the color of death and I think it’s safe to say the diamond is dead, at least for now.

I think it was present day FTL, you could see the safe Haven in the background. They were on the beach leading to it.

Don’t forget Storybrooke of the past, we’re going to eventually find out how Henry got to Storybrooke. We also need to find out how Aurora and Mulan retrieved Philip though they could explain that in dialogue. the present day stuff with Neal and MAP may be wrapped up pretty quickly in Season 3 due to actors becoming unavailable. They already had to use a stand in for Mulan for this episode.

All magic comes with a price!

Belle’s got a spell to cloak SB, but the Office knows where it is now. We’ve seen protection/cloaking spells broken before–Emma’s spell in Gold’s shop, and BF’s spell over the beans for example. If the Office could figure out in a matter of hours how that diamond worked and what it did, then it may represent a very real threat to SB yet. If Henry was more important than eliminating magic, it could go on the back burner…but SB is still there and the Office does seem dedicated to eradicating magic from this world.

And that’s a fight that Belle, Grumpy, Red, and the rest could have to deal with. Neal, if he’s healed without too much trouble, will assume that Henry and Emma are in SB yet and his first instinct will be to try to get back there (but that’s not an easy task).

OMG. New wishlist.

Belle, Leroy, Neal, and Red teamup to save The Family. Whale and Granny can come along, too, of course. Save SB and then find out info that is necessary to keep The Family alive and rescue Henry.

That in sum would be my wishlist.

It’s good, Keb! Except for Ruby. I can see her and Granny staying behind (if only because of Meghan’s limited contract) but sure, take Whale. He knows abut science. Though I don’t know if that’s really what THO believes in anymore as they appear to be working for Peter Pan.
