Omg, I love the name Grandpastiltskin so much. I’m going to have to steal it for one of my fics, The Lady Belle. I haven’t heard that, even on Tumblr.
“blushes” Glad you like it 😀
I just really hope Neal shows up soon. Again, it wouldn’t make sense to reveal Henry’s father in this season AND strongly hint that he might show up in Storybrooke only to have Neal show up by the end of season 3 or something. It has to be season 2 otherwise it’s just bad writting. And Eddie and Adam don’t do bad writting!

I know this is a pointless wish given that this show basically tells us “biological family trumps all,” but I hope the show doesn’t think Neal has any rights whatsoever in regards to Henry.
I’m sorry, I just don’t see where you are getting that.
Ruby/Red: raised by Granny
Jimminy/Archie: Seems to consider Gepetto more family then his con artist parents
Graham: Was raised by wolves and LOVED them
Rumple: Isn’t even 100% sure his son is really his son…..doesn’t care. Would move mountains to find him.Now if we’re referring to Regina. Well, lets be honest she (as well as Rumple) has done a lot of things to call into question her ability to be a good parent. Even so, While Emma and Snow have been gone Charming extended an olive branch to her (Regina) and gave her the opportunity to spend time with Henry when he had zero reason too.
So, I really myself can not see how anyone is pushing a’ biological family trumps all agenda on the show. If anything the thing I’m taking away from OUAT is that, family is/are the people you love and cherish. It dôesnt matter if you share blood with someone.

If Emma rejects Neal, as she almost certainly would at least at first, that would be like rubbing salt in Regina’s emotional wounds.

How so? Regina hates Emma. Wouldn’t Regina be rather happy to see Emma having troubles with love?
December 4, 2012 at 4:53 pm #163647GaultheriaParticipantThe loss of Daniel has been consuming Regina’s soul for the past 50 years. It’s not Emma’s pain that would trouble Regina, it’s Emma’s disregard for the opportunity for true love. Regina would be like a starving person watching through the window as Emma wastes food at a feast.

Excuse me, but I really don’t get it. No disrespect, but I don’t.
December 4, 2012 at 8:52 pm #163677GaultheriaParticipantOkay, no worries.
I was thinking of an episode of The Almighty Johnsons: Mike and Val have been trying to start a family, and even fertility treatments haven’t helped. Mike’s deadbeat grandfather Olaf (who is about the same age as Mike, but that’s another story) has been living with them. Olaf’s latest girlfriend shows up at the house, pregnant. When the girlfriend talks about getting an abortion, Val breaks down in despair that what she wants more than anything else has come so easily to someone who doesn’t want it.
I think that Regina would be just as vulnerable, if she had to face someone who wouldn’t accept the return of a long-lost true love.

Let’s say that Neil is Bae and also Henry’s father. This would make Rumple/Gold Henry’s grandfather. Neil/Bae’s reappearance will have a complicated relationship with both Rumple/Gold and Emma. We already know Snow and Charming are Emma’s parents, and Henry’s biological grandparents. Emma is of course, Henry’s biological mother. Cora, as Regina’s mother – who adopted Henry – thereby being legally Henry’s mother and now Cora is leagally Henry’s grandmother.ergo:
Snow and Charming –> Emma
> Henry
Rumple/Gold
> Neil/Bae
> Henry
Cora
> Regina
> HenryThis would result in all 7 believing Henry belongs to him/her, resulting in many conflicts between all the adults seriously affecting Henry. This doesn’t account for Hook – who may consider Henry as a hostage to get to Rumple/Gold.
Don't grow up. It's a trap.
December 12, 2012 at 3:27 am #164648fairy dustParticipantI think that Gold is going to put some of his magic potion on Baelfire’s ball and Emma is going to follow the ball out of town where it will lead her to Neal.
