I am still hoping that Baelfire is Henrys dad. I’m hoping that Emma has to bring him to town to help her get custody of Henry. I’m still hoping for Rumples happy ending. I guess we know now why he didn’t let Belle keep kissing him and allow his powers to be taken. He wanted this curse to get his son back.
I would so so like Baelfire to be Henry’s Dad!!! that would be AMAZING!
and I am so with you on Rumple’s happy ending! and that he HAD to push Belle away knowing that he needed the power to get Bael back!
So in my opinion, what happens is:
Rumple becomes dark one
Rumple looses Baelfire (p.s. love the name) – blames fairies
Rumple searches for a way to get Rumple back, starts devising curse – he figures, everyone from FTL will be stuck at this one place, and there’s no magic, so he’ll have a way to find Bae, and at the same time agree to his wishes
Belle comes along with her True Love’s Kiss, which rumple refuses as this will forever crumble his hopes of finding Bae without his power
BUT Rumple realises that if true love is the cure, then IF he finds bae, he can use the true love potion (from snow and charming) to rid himself of the curse!!! (please note he thinks his true love – belle – is dead, so that option for him is not there anymore)
Somehow Emma is connected to this… no idea how, but he’s invested in Snow’s future (assuming Emma) who he needs a favour from… so that’s a question we still have to wait to answer…
and i’ve got 1 question… Morraine… will she probably become more significant in the story? hope so… in any case, I love this show xxx i probably wish i didn’t know about it until all the seasons and episodes were out so i can watch it in one go without dying of curiosity :'(

All in all, not a bad plan, but if there are a bunch of worlds wihtout magic, there’s not much luck in finding the one that he is at, let alone the bothersome chore of getting back, especially if there is no obvious return ticket.
This does mean that Happilyl Ever After is an alternate universe, meaning that the writers can get away with a lot more. 😀
In terms of the phone call recieient, the producers clearly want us to think that August called Henry. I know that it’s not uncommon for eleven year olds to have iPhones nowaday, but I think Regina ahs a tighter leash on him.
As far as August’s true identity (becasue he can’t just be a creepy writer…), the judging by the promo, press release and other assorter spoilers, we’re being pointed to/told explicietly that he is Pinocchio
April 23, 2012 at 12:20 pm #143363SnickerdoodleParticipantSo if Bae went to a land without magic, presumably America (since that is where the curse brought them), then how would he have lived for centuries to this point? Once he was gone Rumpel couldn’t do anything to prevent him aging. And there is no magic until Emma, right?
April 23, 2012 at 1:43 pm #143372enchantedoneParticipantAlthough Rumple is hundreds of years old we have no idea where or when in time Baelfire came to our world. I think it would be very cool if all of Augusts trips around the world were made looking for Bae. And once he found him they worked together. I’d like to think that August was also working with the blue fairy/mother superior. It kind of freaked me out to know that she had more power than Rumple. Clearly he gained more power and knowledge since he was able to create the curse when she told him he couldn’t because he didn’t have enough power. I’m hoping she turns out to be less self serving than I think she is and helps Rumple get his son.
April 23, 2012 at 5:08 pm #143396kalliopekiseesParticipantWe once again have conflicting theories on Bae. Here is where my mind is going. I have balcked it all out as I am not sure what are spoiilers and what are not. LOL.
When the curse was enacted, we are lead to assume that ALL FTL characters were called to SB. If not so, why was Jefferson (A FTL Character stuck in Wonderland) sucked into SB and left prisoner for 28 years in his own house? We cannot confirm or deny that August has been traveling outside of SB after the curse was enacted. In 7:15am we see him drive into town, but never see from where he came. If he had been traveling after the curse, why is he driving around with an expired license tag? Could there be other realm jumpers (as Gold called them) trapped in various places throughout SB? Could those realm jumpers include Bae and August? We also know that Jefferson was free to roam AFTER Emma came to town. Perhaps the other realm jumpers are now free to roam as well. Back to the license tag. 2012 – 1984 equals 28. 28 years AFTER the curse was enacted Emma came to town and changed things up. The license tag was last renewed for 1984 which appears to be the same year the curse was enacted. It appears to me that August got sucked into SB and has been trapped since the curse was enacted and Emma came to town.
Based on the above, I believe that indeed Bae and August are realm jumpers (we know for sure they jumped to one realm, one without magic). They were sucked into SB once the curse was enacted and left prisoner somewhere (same as Jefferson). Once Emma came to town, they were set free again (same as Jefferson). Time once again moved forward after Emma came to town and now the inhabitants are no longer frozen in town. As a result, August is no longer frozen and is dying (probably turning back into a puppet). If August is indeed Pinocchio, the magic that created him died with FTL 28 years ago. Now that SB is unfrozen, the repercussions of the magic’s cessation is now beginning to materialize. Hence why August is dying. It will be interesting to see what else will change.
I am not completely sure yet who August and Bae are, but am still leaning toward Bae being Peter Pan.

August knew exactly the right way to lead Mr. Gold on, what to call him, the picture of the dagger, etc. … he got that info from somewhere.
I think he got all that info from Mother Superior, who still has all her memories in Storybrooke.

I still like Bae as Peter Pan.
Me too! In fact, after this ep I don’t just think he ended up in Neverland, I really hope he did. Because if Bae landed in a strange new world, heartbroken over his father and a complete mess, I’d like to think that he wasn’t alone for long because the Lost Boys, a bunch of kids who also have no parents, took him in very soon after he got there. At least that would have eased the kid’s suffering a little bit. We shall see, I suppose.

If Henry had a phone, he and Emma wouldn’t have needed the walkie talkies. I think the phonecall was to Mother Superior.

I need to re-watch this, because on the other forum I read, everyone except for one person was talking as though Bae ended up in our world, but that’s not what I remember hearing. Didn’t Blue Fairy tell Bae that Rumple’s curse was specific to FTL, so going to another land would render his curse void? I don’t recall her specifying that it would take them to a land without magic, just a land where Rumple’s specific magic would no longer work.
April 23, 2012 at 6:28 pm #143417hjbauParticipantThe blue fairy was self serving? What? She tried to help Rumpel and Bae by sending them to a world without magic. And when Rumpel came to her she said that it wasn’t possible to help him. And then when she thought of it she realized that only through cursing the whole world would she be able to help him and she didn’t think that was a good idea. How is that self serving?
Rumpel is the one who seems to do everything for himself.
April 23, 2012 at 7:39 pm #143433eastofthesunParticipantHello everyone =)
So I have this crazy theory: I think Bae is in storybrooke and we have met him before: He is Jefferson…I know its a stretch but I would be SO happy if this happened : From a spoiler(http://www.eonline.com/news/watch_with_kristin/once_upon_time_mr_golds_goal_finale/310408) it´s hinted that Jefferson is going to be back but maybe not only as Mad Hatter but as another person with ALL his memories…since this show likes to make fairytale mash/ups(rumple/beast) 😀 this is my theory: After Bae was sent to a -land without magic-, he somehow along the way was able to make magic happen in this new land (he made a portal/fell through a rabbit hole/Dorothy tornado, etc) and got back to the enchanted forest but as -magic always comes with a price- he lost the memories of the thing he loved most in that time: his Dad…Another thing that could support this theory: There where cut scenes in the “hat trick” episode where Jefferson was talking to August, this could mean they are working together and that could explain how August knew about the dagger and how to play Rumple into believing he was Bae, because Jefferson knew the dark one history but he just does not remember the dark one was his father.. Also the duality (crazy/sweet/good/bad) in Jefferson mirrors Rumpelstiltskin's character traits..like it or not we sometimes inherit our parent personality traits even if we don´t want to… Also imagine the perfect irony…Rumple makes the curse to take him to the land without magic to find Bae, when in reality Bae was back in the enchanted forest all along, well until he got himself trapped in Wonderland by the EQ 😆
April 23, 2012 at 8:18 pm #143438snowfanParticipantHow does Rumple/Gold know that Bae came to our world? Did I miss this?
Are we the only world without magic, so this is the only option? Or did he make the curse to specifically come to the world that Bae went to?
April 23, 2012 at 8:28 pm #143442snowfanParticipantOK so no one actually said anywhere that Bae came to our world . . . That leaves A LOT of options open.
It does seem obvious at this point that August and Bae know each other or at least August has learned Bae’s story from himself or a descendant and written it down.
